That s the other half's Christmas present sorted

15mins from the M6??......i assume via helicopter? It's around 30 miles along a slowish A road.

Grange is nice though

décor could do with updating...

Can you add a child to booking?

Sun-Fri is a pain

Question is how does one get to Windermere by train ?

it is a pain, but you can do it via Lancaster - if you're lucky you'll only have to change once
you might as well stay in Grange, it is nearly 2 hours to Windermere with the changes
you could visit Silverdale or Lancaster much more easily

or get to lakeside and and get the boat

Stayed there before. Shabby and in need of updating. Grange is lovely though
