If you like your cheese crunchy due to the salt in it then yes, otherwise avoid cheeses with brand names.

This is the best cheese i have tasted.

This cheese is tops.

Is NOT crunchy with salt crystals like some of the other well known brands, Pilgrims etc...

It is a sharp cheese, yet still smooth.

Tried this a couple of months back, dont buy anything else now.

Good deal - they have a similar deal at Asda.

Don't believe the the above comment, this is the best cheddar cheese! Believe me, I've tried a lot of different cheddars - I eat about 300g per week...
It is a little bit crumbly but it doesn't fall apart.

ASDA have had this on a long term offer, you're right - 2 for £4

Good cheese too!

This is right, Asda had this on offer a week back and my kids hated it, you could actually hear the salt crystals crunching when you grated the cheese, maybe it was a bad batch, I should have taken it back.

I have to say that I'm suprised by everyone's opinion because I've just had two 500g blocks of this and think that it's no where near as good as a number of other cheeses that are often on offer. It tastes processed. It's about as good as Pilgrims Choice. But it's not even in the same league as Cathedral City.

Cracking cheese Gromit!! HOT

Then I think our tastebuds differ greatly...I had to throw out the last lot of Pigrims choice I tried, didn't like it at all. Catherdral city is ok, but not quite as full of flavour.

Love this cheese

Very often £2 for 400g in Asda.

The Co-op have 600g blocks of Co-operative Truly Irresistible Taw Valley/Lockerbie Mature Cheddar for £3.00. Obviously this also works out at £5.00 per kilo.

If you're in Tesco, they also have Davidstow White Mature Cheddar down to £4.50 per kilo on the deli counter.
