About this deal

Another great price for a budget holiday at the stunning Lake Garda. Flights and a week stay in Eurocamp included! I have added a 20kg bag to the flights, as think it's kind of a must, but optional to add further baggage. The park is about 15 miles from the airport, quite close, but would have to factor in transfer costs.

Various dates across May 2023 (Dependent on Flight Prices, but using 9th - 16th May as an Example:

This is the altomincio family park. Hands down the best place for kids. Lagoon pool is excellent. Restaurant and takeaway pizza on site and a shop - wine on tap too!

Not much, park is only about 15 miles from the airport, and I think there are good public transport links

    Just makes me laugh...

A week before the school holidays, the prices are £100s
A week during the school holidays, the prices are £600s

I know it's a business, I know, but the reality is, holidays today are either for the very rich, or for parents willing to take their kids out of school

For the rest of us, it's a non-starter -- a shame that families can't really give their kids a great holiday for a reasonable price

Hi, do you have to pay extra for swimming in these parks?

No all included. We were here last year and have booked for June!

Voted hot! Sadly, during May school holidays, because of the flights extortionate cost, for a family of 4, most Eurocamp sites I've checked come close to £1,500. Add spending money and you come to the conclusion you'll get better value with 4-5 star all inclusive. After 7 years in a row at campsites, I think we'll start looking at all inclusive, it makes more sense.

Daft question as I’ve only done camping abroad but where do you tend to look? Which websites?

This place is excellent, sadly there's 6 of us and I've already taken the kids out of school twice this year! Haha

20 years ago I did a deal like this. We went to Nice, the tent was £80 and the flights £150 for 5 of us. I’m pleased there are still such deals possible.

Unless the pools are heated, they're going to be cold in early May (15c) (edited)

    Exactly!! Are these pools heated?!

This is my future as a parent to a 2 year old, and new born!

What age do those with experience reckon its best before attempting a holiday like this with wee ones, or will the travel always be awkward for the 1st few years?

I just posted I did a deal like this 20 years ago with my then almost five, three and almost one year old.. The biggest problem was my little one was crawling, the tent I think was mostly a dirt floor as the campsite was in pine trees. It was pretty difficult with the 1 year old as he was crawling. It was either the buggy/cot or we had to hold him. Otherwise he was literally crawling in the dirt. Otherwise it was all pretty easy really. However I did hire a car as we stayed about an hour from the airport. (edited)
