Description
Sophisticated masculinity, a bit of mystery, a classic in a modern form. Lalique Encre Noire for Men Eau de Toilette doesn’t just evoke these characteristics – its composition is an ode to woody notes and a captivating fragrance for real men.

aromatic woody fragrance
suitable for evening occasions as well as during the day in winter months
created by Nathalie Lorson
Composition of the fragrance
The first notes of this woody composition are defined by fresh accords of cypress with a pinch of mystery provided by vetiver. The warm notes of Haitian and Bourbon vetiver then fill the heart of the composition before slowly giving way to the base notes represented by cashmere wood and musk, slowly coming forth from the background.

Story of the fragrance
Encre Noire for Men embodies everything that is so characteristic for the Lalique aesthetic. The fragrance combines luxury raw materials and the artistry of glass makers who co-created it. The bottle was inspired by the “Biches” ink pot which René Lalique designed in 1913.

Ingredients
Top notesCypress, Vetiver
Middle notesBourbon Vetiver, Haitian Vetiver

This is an all time classic. Very woody. Would recommend. At this price it's a no trainer.

As an 'old abandoned library' it suits my natural scent well....

A few comments saying smells like ink. Encre means ink in French. It's called Black Ink for a reason 😁 (edited)

I love this stuff. Smells great and lasts a while after putting on. Just ordered another bottle....my fourth over the last couple years. The encore sport is pretty spesh as well. Totally recommended if you hadn't realised.

This is an odd one , when I first got it I really didn't like it at all, but stuck with it and I think you'll get to like it lots, it's nicer after it calms down a bit, and I agree totally with k4mmy

A winter frag, which is why it's cheaper now as we head into Spring, For £20 it's a billy-bargain that like Marmite you will love or hate.

I love this and the Extreme version, not so much the Sport which I found had little longevity. This is a dark, wet forest fire and ink smell unlike anything you will have tried before, but on a cold night you'll be smelling wonderful. If on the fence, go for it, you might find that sleeper scent that no one around you will be wearing.

I think for the price it definitely is worth a punt 👌🏻 (edited)

Just don't blind buy please , especially if you are into blue fragrances
    MildmanneredCalvin's avatar
Well I blind bought it during COVID. Was a well calculated punt. I do like woody fragrance so took the chance.

I hate notino. They are such con artists. Usually the delivery on this line is free but now that they have a code, suddenly they're charging for delivery. They do this also each time they have a code where the prices go up by the value of the code. (edited)

Yes , but they also have weak spots in their chicaneries.. If you like the price of a certain item you just put it in the basket, no matter if the price go up it will stay the same as when you put it in the basket.. after that, just wait for a code to become even cheaper, thank me later
