Not necessarily. All down to how you cook it and personal taste. Same with pork. Shoulder's far better than leg.

Agreed, shoulder is far better. Very good price. Heat
Would you say this is one of the fattier cuts? Im new to Lamb, never liked it as a kid so never tried it but now i love it! I just can’t handle fat.

There's always going to be fat in lamb, but cooked properly, you'll be cooking most of the fat out. If you love lamb, you're loving the fatty taste. Slow and low's the way to cook shoulder.

Don't forget the garlic, lemon and mint sauce!

If you're new to lamb, I'd suggest giving this try - waitrose.com/eco…292
Eat your own children or preferably, yourself as fatty as it might be

That's sacrilege. I like my lamb with lamb and some spuds and veg on the side.

grabbed a nice 2.5kg joint
Still available at £5/kg in two of my stores, use by 22nd February. I do not know why marked as "expired".
I assume the same as some items/prices are marked expired on the basis of someone seeing "out of stock" online or not finding them in their store. However, items undoubtedly continue to be available somewhere in the land despite no longer being available online and, although not on things like fresh meat with limited use by dates, other types of items with offers or reduced to clear prices can often be found months later, where they happen not to have been sold/didn't have the offer price marked up correctly/didn't have any marking and thus remained in some place in the store.
