This is one of the best pens on the market at the moment. A platinum covered 14k Gold nib, a design that has won many awards. While it isn't a very money saving item, it does represent a massive discount from it's £170 RRP. This is a very desirable pen and I know it's not for everyone but it is the cheapest it has ever been and it was a great price for the pen before.

It is currently £102 at WHsmiths, a not very risky option. Or it can be purchased from the American site Massdrop for $104.99+ $8.04 shipping. You can expect 20% VAT on top of that as well as an £8 handling change, but the price still comes out at an amazing £80 roughly! Almost 50% off, worth the risk if you are interested.

who the hell pays this ridiculous amount for a god damn pen???? If you sign with this pen you get 0.5% interest on credit card or 1% mortgages or something...??? Since when the free barclays blue pens are not doing the job anymore???

How does £22 off £102 become "almost 50% off"?

How does a "Student just trying to get by" come across a quality pen like this

TBH I am mystified as to how WHSmith remains a going concern. The Eastbourne store is always empty, seems to sell only random overpriced goods and the customer service is non existent.

I think he meant off the rrp which is £170 - so if £80 that's £90 off actually, more than 50% but who has £80 to spend on a pen? My cheapo bics do me fine.

Each to their own!

It's always nice you write with shear quality and watch the words float onto the page. Also nice to sign a valuable document, like the solicitors deeds or job contract, makes people see you are high quality and appreciate high standards.

I know what he meant, but it doesn't make any sense. It's not percentage off the RRP that matters, it's the percentage off a reliable UK company's price, whom you can return it to if something goes wrong.
You're actually saving about 20%, or £22. Not really worth getting it sent from the USA, having to go down to the post office to pay the VAT and not being able to return it.

or makes you an easy target to be taken for a ride!

personally if I had a pen that cost that much I'd never be able to get myself (or anyone else) to use it. it'd stay in its nice presentation box lol
