This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Until 2nd December, Tesco have Lanson Black Label champagne discounted from £32 to £22 per 75cl bottle. They are also running 25% off six or more bottles of wine or champagne. The two deals can stack, making the Lanson £99 for six, equivalent to £16.50 per bottle.

This is the cheapest I am aware of for any premium label champagne - let me know if any is available cheaper.

Well reviewed in a Drinks Business conparison taste test of the world’s best-selling champagnes. They wrote:

“Buyers of Black Label can expect an extremely fresh style of Champagne with an appealing green apple bite along with toasted bread and nutty notes, lending complexity to the fizz. While this is fresh and pure in style, Lanson has layers of flavour, and has impressed judges in the Champagne Masters for its complexity and brightness.”

It’s a deal because it’s half prices for a top rated champers mate

Piper Heidseick Brut probably a better drink than the Lanson which is a little 'soft' to me. Reduced by £10 a bottle to £23 means it's a comparable price at £17.25 a bottle

Coming up at £132 for me , how does the 25% come off
The 25% is taken off in the basket when you add six. It won’t work in Scotland though.

Heat added. Good deal.
I'd also recommend the Tesco Premier Cru champagne, excellent value at £15 a bottle. Also available in half bottles,.

A lot of 'brands' in general float in part on their image. Lanson no doubt is the same. Biggest example to me is Smirnoff, by no stretch of the imagination the nicest vodka in it's category, but usually much more expensive as it's well known through advertisement and there for every tom dick and harry wants it.

Huh? Smirnoff is a cheap vodka. Own label is usually a hair less, then you have Smirnoff and Russian Standard at around the same price, a few quid more for Absolut, then 'premium' brands.

In their price bracket they are not. It was clearly mentioned.
'Premium' is also how things are perceived. (Levis for one), they're seen as better, more prestigious, but when you think for a second, they aren't.

With Champagne you are paying primarily for consistency of bottles (apart from Moet, obviously, where you are just paying for marketing) but the vintages have the most variation as most of them are blended between different years and taste very different to non vintage, not least due to the presence of Sulphites. As a corked wine it will naturally vary more than Vodka from bottle to bottle. Lanson Black label is a good reliable, budget (or daily) widely available champagne, or a good champagne to use for cocktails where you might not waste pricier bottles on. As with anything, if you have no experience of something then you could say it all tastes similar, like me with Vodka!

Agreed on the vintages and no I wasn't saying it tastes all the same..

Indeed. However Lanson is one of the few quality champagnes that doesn't give me terrible heartburn. One of my fave bubbly.
Annoying... Only just remembered this, just before midnight, but the offer is no longer available.
