I swear these bottles evaporate the alcohol off. They tend to just drain really quickly in my house, and I can't understand why.

Holy crap, clear the shelf!
Fantastic price for a top malt!
Any know of any particular reason why Tesco would have it "Reduced to Clear"? Repackaging? Tesco stopping selling it?

Just trying to guage the likelihood of finding it in other Tescos.
Wow, great price!
So one left on the shelf or did you get that one?

There was three. Only bought one
I would have wiped the shelf! One of my favourites. Guess it is store specific.
Crikey! Tesco always have the best deals on alcohol...and my nearest store is bloody miles away

Still on the website for £38, so I'll guess this is one of their usual goose chase deals.

Please contact watchdog because it happens in mine as well. A definite pattern emerging.
When you see a yellow "Reduced to clear' it is almost certain to be store specific only. Brilliant find but you really ought to jave cleared the shelf

I find it happens with many different brands, but that stuff in the blue bottle is completely unaffected. Unless it is the only whisky nearby, but even then it occurs at a far lower rate. It must be some sort of equilibrium with the surrounding air.

Whenever I see a "Reduced to clear" sticker, I carefully peal it off the cheap item and place it on a nice bottle of Laphroaig. Cheap whisky every visit to my local Tesco.

No wild goose chasing here. I'm to drunk on Laphroaig to chase a goose-shhh.
Nice one.
Like sucking a burnt charred stick 🤮

Apparently a violation of the rules. Someone's been reporting my similar deals, getting them dumped in Discussion, so I'm reporting all store specific reduced to clear.
Call me Mr Grumbles.

That’s true for RTC stickers, but an RTC shelf-end label can often indicate the price change has been pushed out nationally for stores of similar size.

Naughty naughty!
tasty?
Also in Keynsham, Bristol. Got one last weekend but didn’t post it as thought I’d get the usual “wild goose” comments!!
39858069-EOxJD.jpgfound a cheaper version with a very similar taste.
(Yep, not a fan. Voted hot for the price though)

They actually imported it as a medicine during prohibition in the states
I love it but not for everyone
Store specific. Still £38 a bottle

The (far inferior) Whyte and Mackay is on offer at £12 so bought that instead.
Might be at smaller Tesco’s metro/express,I vaguely remember the offer label behind counter next to tobacco last night
I think its because the packaging has changed ... new bottles have silly things like 'Peaty Slap in the Face' written on them.
So will be in all the stores that have some of the old style ones
Not Carlton Nottingham if u are wondering lol
Just got this just off Liverpool Street for 19.95. Looks like they are getting rid of the Christmas packaged ones
