Normally quite a bit more, around the £30-40 mark.

This is the 10 year old version. Tesco also have the Select version for the same price.

It says its £33.50 but once you add it to the basket, it applies the deal of "Only £25"

good price, for a good whiskey - for those that - like me - love a strong pit flavour, hot

It wasn't my cup of tea but its definitely got an interesting flavour. Everyone should try it at least once.

I've got a sampler pack of scotch on the way which includes Laphroaig quarter cask, I've heard that's a bit tamer peat wise.

I love this whiskey but stopped buying it when, like others they bumped the price up by a third. This price makes it reasonable.

May as well get into the festive spirit.......

I'd have complained. It allowed me to add it to my Tesco basket, which they don't normally do it ifs not available online. I just wasn't going to buy it because I don't like it.

Terrific whisky.
Fair price.

Got the Select for £21.50! from Waitrose. A bit of a carry on but 2000 price we do me.

£21.50 isn't too bad either really. What's the Select like?

I can only explain the taste of this whiskey like chewing on a bit of oak. A little bit woody

Horrible stuff, was bought a bottle had 1 sip and rest went down sink, no pleasure in it at all tastes like a peat bog .

vulgar stuff

Fruity notes. Real men get drunk on life.

£25 for 10 year old Whisky?

At that price I'd expect a new one at least...

Well, have you tried this whisky - better than the non-Scotch stuff.

What a waste, people often need tune to get used to its distinct flavour, by regular trying it. Did you add a thumb nail's worth of water, as helps the flavour?

love the peaty stuff and a fab whiskey. heat

Not my nip but fantastic value for a widely loved whisky - heated (or should that be peated)

My husbands favourite! Good find!

Got some for xmas which ill be opening soon. If its half as nice as the quarter cask ill be happy!

10 year old yuck will be out of date.

TIME YOU ADD COCA COLA & ICE TO IT YOU WONT BE ABLE TO TTELL THE DIFFERENCE

Not my thing really, very peaty taste. I've had a bottle in the cupboard for a couple of years and just dont like it. But for those who do like this, its defo worth 25 quid. Voted hot.

WHISKEY TIME BABE!!!!!

There'll be an offer on some Carling soon, I'm sure.

Excellent price for a whisky which I can't drink too often but do keep going back to.

It's not whiskey - it's whsky! - the other stuff comes from Ireland, this doesn't

Exact same for me, I just cannot justify it unlike the distillery who can justify the huge price increase.
Thanks op for the deal. Just been in to my local and they had one!

They've put the prices up as smoky peaty whisky and single malts are trendy and in demand now. They need to be careful because if it gets too expensive, people will just stop bothering. I used to buy Glen Moray single malt, and it used to be about £15 a bottle a few years back. Now its around the £20+ mark. Not a good price considering its not a very old scotch and is comparatively at the lower end of the quality scale. Now I wait for offers on the more expensive malts instead, the price ends up around the same.

As a 'Jock" I'm almost ashamed to say - to me this tastes like a damp bonfire that's had a bucket of TCP thrown over it - to the more select it all reflects the peaty complexity of an island malt.

The only other liquid which has anything like as much nonsense and dewy-eyed b****t written and talked about is wine, and I don't especially like that either.

I am just sampling Select after a bottle of regular 10 year old ran out and can confirm that any seasoned Laphroaig drinker will be disappointed by this weak tasting offering. The standard 10 year old has much a more subtle flavour/aroma and has been my favourite for 20 years.

Just to make things clear 10 year old is great and Select not as good but still better than most others
