About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Laphroaig Quarter Cask has a depth of flavour achieved through a double maturation process along with the signature smoky taste of our peated whisky
It starts its life the same way all Laphroaig whiskies do, in a time-honoured tradition which has been perfected over two centuries The malted barley is first smoked then dried over a fire fuelled by peat, hand-cut on the Isle of Islay After fermentation, it's aged in first-fill bourbon barrels, made from American oak While the whisky is still young, it's transferred to much smaller quarter casks This gives the spirit more contact with the wood, imparting warm and spicy oak flavours It's a method which was almost lost to time but has been revived in this whisky Finally, it is left to rest in our warehouse on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean
Each sip of Laphroaig recalls the passion and hard work of the master distillers who have been explaining the each expression of this peated whisky since 1815. The natural features of Islay lend extra flavour to each complex blend, from the pure waters of the Kilbride stream to the smoky peat which can only be found on this rugged island. This whisky should be served over ice, on its own or with a splash of cold water
Laphroaig Quarter Cask has impressed critics, taking home Gold awards from the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Aware and the 2019 SIP Awards
Laphroaig's signature green tinted glass makes it both distinctive and characterful and harks back to the organic materials used to create the whisky – while also speaking of the influence of the land and sea, evoking the humble origins of Laphroaig Each bottle of Laphroaig is packed in a traditional white tube, making it the suitable gift for any whisky lover

sorted byIt comes down to that or I buy something else this year.
As for costs. I'm sure the price of whisky will increase like everything else. Yes, these bottles will have been sat in a barrel for a while aging. But the company still has running costs! They are still making new batches of whisky, pre-barrel. And they're still bottling from the old barrels, and then distributing.
Like anybody, their overheads have still increased, even if this whisky has spent most of its life in a barrel, and the bulk of its costs were from a time where energy cost a fraction of today's prices.
The Select cask (entry level Laphroaig) is regularly £25-28 in supermarkets. This is superior to both that & the 10 year old. (edited)
