1GB Memory upgrade for newer laptops/netbooks. I brought this to go with a Compaq Mini 311c which was posted about a week back. Cheapest price else where (I could find) £23.99. I order this last week under a wrong title for £17.99 so get it while its hot!

Probably just referring to the fact that most netbooks (the basic ones) will be DDR2.

In fact forget that... most netbooks have 1GB already and only 1 SODIMM slot, so no point in replacing it with another 1GB.. and I couldn't find any decent 2GB DDR2's at the second.

Great price. Anyone seen a good deal on 2gb DDR2 SoDimms?

Anyone know of good deals for the 2gb module?

best i could find if you need 4gb

some models of the Compaq 311c has a unused user accessible slot on the bottom with a soldered 1gb, it can be upgraded to 3gb in total. Good deal, missed it

Exactly. These offers are so cheap because they are pointless - you will need bigger modules to upgrade (unless you have a very basic memory configuration).

Please read 888 comments, it made sense on the Mini 311c becuase it had a soldered 1GB chip, so it up graded it to 2GB. However my comment and yours still does stand in regards to around 95% of netbooks out there. Also its work considering that this could have been used in newer laptops as well, not just netbooks, hence why I didn't put netbook in the title, some one could have had a very standard 2GB laptop with windows 7 on and wanted to upgrade it to 3GB on the cheep, to give windows 7 that extra little that it really needs.

any way my 2 pence worth.
