How does the laptop backpack (£6.99) compare to the more expensive Wenger Swissgear make?

Since I work for the merchant I'm really not allowed to 'self promote' but I bought one of the backpack Targus bags with my own money (the ones now £6.99), use it a lot and think it's well made and well thought out. I think the Swissgear bags have a smarter and more sophisticated look compared with this backpack but you have to decide whether you think it's worth the extra money...

Chris

Shame no Slappa Laptop Bags are on there

Think I'm going to go for the Targus Multipac-

Thanks for your input ChrisatSVP

Bought one of these bags recently from another source.Excellent quality and does the job........just a shame I missed out on the £6.99 offer at SVP...Incredible Price...

Chris,

Can the 2nd option be used for UK (England) orders of the£6.99 Targus backpack so that the delivered price is £9.80? (Via google checkout)

Shipping and Handling
UK Mainland & IOW / Economy Courier (£4.69)
Northern Ireland & IOM / UK Royal Mail (£2.81)

They're cheap because no one wants to be seen with a laptop bag any more.
1. They look so 1990s
2. It might get you mugged
3. They are harder to manage than a backpack one.
4. They are plastic.

I think they are just clearing old stock they can't shift. If you feel the need to look fogey then get one.
They are a bargain!!

PSmith,

I couldn't agree more.

I carry mine around in a Lidl's carrier bag - and we are talking the deluxe 9p version rather than the cheapo 3p one.

Who wants to be a fogey?

delivery is nearly the cost of that bag lol

Since you obviously read the header...saw the picture and knew what it was...why did you even bother to have a look...other than to make remarks which make you sound like a di$khead???

...... And ANYONE who still uses the phrase " They look so......whatever " and the word " fogey " is REALLY 1990's......

If you promise that owning one would definitely lead to a mugging...perhaps you'll allow me to buy you one?????;-)

I'm actually a 1980s fogey. When I was young you needed a small wheelbarrow to lug your Commodore PET about.

It's not my bag baby but for you, you could keep your dick extender in it. :-D

I already have one of the ]TFS101 bags and it's fantastic, slim with just enough additional storage to fit some papers, CDs and an MP3 player. I may get another one at this price, since I couldn't see the design on the Targus site anymore.

The other nice thing about it is that the straps tuck neatly away if you'd rather use the over-the-shoulder strap (a la record-bag) and the strap detaches if you'd rather wear it as a rucksack.

Um, don't you really mean "Keep your Swedish made Peeenus Enlarger in it" ?

Then again. It's not mine, honest!

Oh, behave!

Looks like there's quite an anomaly in the rates set for Google Checkout, so that's going to have to be fixed! In short, though, no, if you're in England I'm afraid you're going to confuse the system if you select delivery to Ireland... :whistling:
