Can't decide if it's worth the gamble of going down to John Lewis only for them to give me office 365!

It may well be worth a shot...though I expect they will cancel order when you've not put a laptop in basket too.

Apparently Norton the same but £30 johnlewis.com/hp-…525

Had a punt will find out tomorrow if it works

It's a bundle/deal price, you get MS 365 at a discount if you buy it with the laptop, MS 365 is usually £59.95.

You won't get a laptop, it's not worth the risk

Reviews are for Office 365

No risk just get a refund

pretty sure, they are not gonna give you laptop at this price

Good luck tho

it will prob get cancelled

Lies. Post reported.

Worth a try, thanks

It's software not a laptop

Ordered, clearly states on the order - Laptop + Office 365. We'll see

On an extra note John Lewis dont seem to have the HP Pavilion as a laptop ???

Order confirmation states:

The product(s) listed below will be delivered to Waitrose......

Microsoft Office 365 Personal, 1 PC and 1 Tablet, One Year Subscription
-£20 Ms Office 365 Prsonl.cm

I'm sorry but I don't want to sound rude but this is so obviously not a glitch/error etc.. what so ever...

You get the software at a discounted price when you buy specific laptops.

The discounted software is just listed separately under it's own category which clearly states the offer, you won't get a laptop for this price as the laptop isn't listed on the P/C, you won't get the software at this price (JL will just cancel our order) because you aren't buying the laptop (which will be listed as a separate product)

Technically this is spam

For the sake of £40 and getting money back if it isn't right it's totally risk free. Unless I crash my car on the way to collect it - damn that would suck.

Order states 1 x Laptop + Office 365...will report back tomorrow.

Someone please update if you collect today

Collected today and I received just the MS Office box so returned for a refund.

The errors need to paid in this life, we can not say "sorry I need to go back yesterday"
After 10 min talk, the CS agree that was wrong description, but she can not honour bundle.
I say, last night I agree with web site description, I agree with price, I paid instant the price and this morning the order is not complite (the laptop is missing).
Returned the software and she will refind the money plus £20 (waiste time/hassles)

When I'm ordering by Tesco grocery collect in store, and the lorry is delayed 15+ min, always calling CS, and always receiving £10+ voucher

Eh I'm sorry, was your a comment a transcription from a BBC1 TV program that I missed the joke/context or do you not understand that your comment was awful English? Once you've clarified I'll reply accordingly.

I think he is trying to say that he has dyslexia and there was a program about it on BBC 1, but that is a guess.

Ordered last night, collected it via waitrose; however was only the software.

After calling the CS team, they surprisingly said that the courier was 'delayed' and that the laptop would be with me Friday!

Asked him to e-mail me with a tracking number, and didn't receive it.

Called up to double confirm, and again, a different person confirmed I will definitely receive it on Friday, gave me the tracking number, however states it is incorrect... Will call tomorrow to confirm the tracking number, however with calls being recorded & the fact it was due to a 'pricing error' I imagine they will have to honor the deal with me, especially with two different agents confirming!

Very interesting red tracking number! I ordered online so awaiting despatch confirmation however money has been taken. Wait and see I guess, worse case I take 365 back for refund!

I have received tracking number for my order.I suspect will receive just software, and no laptop...Their terms and conditions clearly state that: "Please note that acceptance of your order takes place when it leaves our warehouse" so when my online order is still stating 2 items laptop and software they are obliged to honour the deal.

This is what we need to do,as with despatch notice JL is accepting our order and we are bond by the contract

From telegraph website - The legally binding contract is complete when a retailer accepts an order. However, acceptance does not necessarily happen at the point of order. Even the confirmation email may not be an acceptance. Some retailers reserve the right to cancel an order up to the point of delivery. It is therefore important to carefully check the retailer’s terms and conditions (which must be available on their website) and emails – if a retailer simply acknowledges an order, there may be no contract at that point.

John Lewis terms and condition for online purchase and order acceptance - "Please note that acceptance of your order takes place when it leaves our warehouse, at which time we'll debit your nominated account with the total amount of £46.90 (including charges for your selected delivery service and UK VAT where applicable). If you've paid via PayPal, your account is automatically debited as you place your order. For Click & collect, your order will usually leave our warehouse the evening before it's available at your chosen shop for collection. For Collect+, your order will usually leave our warehouse within a day of it being placed. If the order is being delivered direct to you from a supplier, for instance in the case of larger products such as electrical appliances and furniture, you may be charged at any point between confirmation of your order and despatch.
