Laptop Offers BT (Existing subscribers) & Staples.

Anyone who is kicking themselves because they took up BT Broadband a few weeks before AOL/ORANGE started giving away free laptops need not worry.

BT will also give you a free laptop!

Simply ring 0800 800 150

Go through the options until you get to 'To request your MAC code'

You will be put through a live advisor. Tell them you want your MAC code because AOL/Orange have offered you a free laptop... and BT will match their offer and send you a laptop... !

You need to make sure you're not too far in to your contract or are happy to sign a new one... but if you use broadband regularily then I can't see why you wouldnt want to extend!

You have to love the retention teams! whooppeeee!

Im sure when BT get a deluge of people calling they will stop this offer so get to it asap!

It occurs to me, also that they might be talked into offering this as an incentive to anyone joining up.

Can't check right now cos OH is chatting on the phone - could take half an hour or more!!!

EDIT: Just managed to get to phone and as far as I am informed NEW customers don't stand a chance.:(

Not with BT but good deal

Yeah.. but they want a 36month contract with that!! 3 years man!

And thats option 3 Package

Only a good deal then if you want to stay with BT on that package for that amount of time.

yeah just phoned as well, got me all excited but this just isnt a good deal.

Deal breakers are:

36 month contract @ 24.99
spec of the laptop, Acer 512mb memory, 80gb hd, 14.1 screen.
35 quid delivery charge as well !!!

Shame really, contract has just finished with BT so ill be moving somewhere else.

I wonder what the advisors at virgin media would offer if i phoned about this? :-D

Having just read Post #6 I'm afraid I have to vote cold on this one.

I wouldn't mind a new laptop, but that does sound like quite a low end spec these days... and 36 months is a long time!!

sorry but this deal is a no go. i have just been informed that they will only offer deals if you are within 2 months of your contract expiry date and then they expect a 3 year contract at a rip off price for a very low spec laptop.

Also you will spend hours on the phone to BT as they a useless

well im with BT TOtal Broadband atm contract finished on the phone to them now

if they tie me into a 1 or 2 year contract I dont mind but if its 3 years they can slap them selves

Printer worth about £30.00 which leaves about £250.00 for a very basic laptop.

Might do as a xmas pressie tho.

The chap I spoke to on the phone admitted that 3 years would put a lot of people off. And I Spent ages redialling till I got through as well...bahh!

Thanks to the OP for posting though, if it had been 24 months with a slightly higher spec laptop it would have been great.

They offered me 19.99 for a 12 month contract (no laptop) but I think ill take my MAC and go elsewhere.

Thanks to the OP for posting though...

I'm surprised the op didn't give any mention to the person who posted this 1st on mse, especially seeing as it was just copied and pasted.
Unless they're the same person of course....
