yeah, but nearly double the price for a knob?

Yeah but when you twiddle the knob it gets bigger.

But there is 50% chance it will get smaller....oO

I'm using one that I paid £19.99 for at NETTO.
I love it.
The ball from my trackball often falls on to the glass base from my settee and it's still in one piece.

Well you'll just have to make sure you twiddle it properly then.

hmm, would this hold a g25? any guesses?

Tell me about it. I get such a bad neck ache. You could try sitting on the arm of the chair lol.

do you think this stand will take a AV amplifier (pioneer vsx 920)?

If its less that 20kg and fits on the glass then i dont see why not.

thats a great bargain. I had the £50 adjsutable one from argos with castors.

I will say though that glass is a nightmare surface for scratches and smudgey marks.

I am going to get one for my bedroom. I didnt think it would get too dirty as the laptop should cover most of it.

hasnt your laptop got rubber feet?

So you only ever use your laptop on your lap, what happens if there is no where to sit?

In theory the laptop is a good idea if you are really short.

Knob.

Is there a similar table to the adjustable one not made from glass. I too would like one for a steering wheel but don't trust glass.

Original Poster

Not wooden but i found this one. Its made from tempered glass and can hold more weight at 25kg. Its £20 reduced from £30.

Not adjustable though.

Thanks for this. It looks great but because the steering wheel clamps onto the surface it will have a lot of presure at thoes points, it will probably be fine but getting showered in broken glass whilst doesn't sound too fun. Still I may just go for it anyway and post back on how I get on.

No I bought something made especially for steering wheels from a guy on ebay who make them himself. Cost about £40 and works perfect (also folds flat) unfortunately he doesn't seem to be making them anymore. This is the guy. Maybe you could message him and see if he is still making them. Highly recommended.
