ordered thanks - some strange reviews - everyone seems to complain about the cable smelling relaly bad - lol

I don't expect much for a coupld of quid but any extra helps.

I must agree these things are as good as liquorice for protecting a laptop. I have had to remove a fair number of these for people that have lost keys or combinations to them and it literally takes me 1 second to remove with no damage to the machine!

Although any protection is better than none!

hummm - it's for my 4TB NAS - I'll see what it's like and get a more expensive one if need be?

Mind you I used to work in retail and we still had the expensive ones broken while the store was open for people to nick laptops. I just want something that means they can't just quietly pick it up and walk out with it - if they make more noise or take more time hopefully I'll hear them.

My statement was against the expensive ones (Kensington mainly) and believe me you wouldn't of heard me or seen me do it if I had wanted to be discreet. BUT they will stop your average jo bloggs walking past and just picking it up!

Does your NAS drive have the lock hole to connect these too?

Got one the same as this (judging by the pic) from PoundWorld. I assume they still do them but not sure.

yeah it does - it's the Western Digital Sharespace 4TB

It was the kensington ones we used to use, they certainly didn't stop the professionals but I'm hoping it'll at least stop the unprepaired teen robber who just wants to grab some easy kit.

cold, poundland sell laptop "locks" for a quid
