I'd expect this to take 2 adult and 2 kids bikes easiely... it's 7ft long by 3 fft wide and a bike is usually 6ft by 2ft with the kids much smaller

On checking the PDF showing how to build it. It comes with external hinges attached with screws. OK - its unlikely to be the most secure thing on the planet - but a decent electric screwdriver could probably take one door off in under a minute - and it has no doors in two minutes - but almost silently compared to forcing access.

Aren't these normally only £99 at B&Q et al ?

I certainly wouldn't be inviting the village bike into my shed, never mind two of them + a midget?!

And I thought the first reply in this thread was slightly inappropriate........

10 years guarantee? looks like itll last 10 minutes

It would certainly be worth buying a ground anchor of some kind and locking the bikes to it inside the shed.

Rounding off the screw heads with a drill would make it a little bit more secure too, but I'm not sure it would stand up to a hefty size 9.

if someone is determined to get in theyll get in regardless, you just want to stop the opportunists so what you suggest makes sense

Agreed, that is why I was advocating use of a ground anchor system.
