Cracking deal.. Large 28CM Russell Hobbs ceramic frying pan available in red or black for only £7.99. Purchased one at Lincoln B&M and there was 5 or 6. Also got one at Boston B&M and there was 10+ so it appears to be national like most B&M products. Also there is a smaller ceramic Russell Hobbs frying pan for £5.99.

Did they have a good price on a time machine as well (_;)

Great thanks for this! Heat OH!

Be aware, these do not have flat bottoms. So therefore no good on an electric hob. Great for gas!
Reason for non flat bottom is the centre has the makers name punched into it and this creates an uneven surface!

can it be used on induction?

Not voting but these are dreadful dreadful pans and a waste at any price.

can it be used on induction?

can be used but less efficient. For induction always use metal flat bottom utensils. FYI Induction cooking works by generating an electric current in the metal cooking vessel and converting that current into heat, which requires a resistive material (i.e. a poor conductor).

What's so bad about them? Have you had one and had a problem with it? Please elaborate, thanks.

I've had 3 ceramic pans - one from LIDL and two different makes from TK Maxx - and despite the claims of non-stick, virtually fat free cooking - they all performed badly. Unless I use oil, food burns on to point where it's impossible to remove. I still use one of them, but it's not really very good (Ernesto from LIDL).

this is a ALUMINIUM ceramic COATED frying pan. Wasted my time going down there as its described as ceramic!

I am sorry, but I did include a larger scaled picture as well. You win some you lose some.
