It’s covered by their customer satisfaction guarantee which is second to none, they will even take a bed back after a year, staff Instore will tell you they have seen returns years later.

As for a DFS frame and spring warranty would like to see how many successful claims they have ever seen, they pushed back on foam in less than a year even with their extended warranty.

I was quite surprised when I asked how long the warranty was at costco on their furniture and they said 1 year, surely that can't be right on such an expensive product.

How long is it elsewhere, they try to get you to buy extra protection in some places. You will have consumer rights act behind you though.

Even their TVs come with 5 years warranty I'd expect a minimum of that with a sofa costing over 1k

Bit of a waste if you don’t have an AMD to charge.

I've got a TV which has constant problems which costco still haven't tried fixing in warranty I'm coming up to 5 years on it now but they say the same thing every time to reset it, nothing further, won't send an engineer out and they won't take it back. So forgive me if I'm not so willing to buy a product over 1k with a year warranty. Yes within a year they take things back without much quibble but should the sofa fail after a year it really depends on who you have dealing with it that tends to steer the outcome. I'd rather have it in writing that it's covered by more than a year's warranty.

You need to take it further with them as I said they took our bed back after a year no other company would do that no questions asked. When my mothers tv broke engineer sent the next day.

Try sending an email to their UK MD, these customer service teams normally reply in 48 hours and sort issues out where others don’t.

I would call them up again, they are open nowand tell them you need an engineer out and if they don’t you will contact the MD, they should send an engineer out anyway don’t take no for an answer.
Our neighbour bought a set of LazyBoy seats about 4 years ago which got scratched up when they moved house. They mentioned it to Costco to find out if they could pay to get the damage repaired and the offered a full refund. Very impressed.

I had a minor problem with a TV from them after 4 years. They sent an engineer out, he put in a beyond economic repair report, I had to talk to one of their "agents" in the US and within 6 weeks FULL REFUND OF ORIGINAL PRICE.

Bit of a faff but IMHO one of the best TV warranties you can get.

I've called up 4 times now, I'm glad you got a good resolution it doesn't seem to be happening for me but I'm going to give them a call on Monday and insist on a engineer coming out

I would have all my romps on the sofa instead of in bed for the first year. That way it will be thoroughly tested.
