I went into Wetherspoons in Forest Hill and ordered a large Latte. The listed price was £1.29 (still pretty good) but I was charged 79p!
Got to say that their large cup is the same size as a standard cup in Starbucks etc. They charge about £2 for the privilege though. And this is LAVAZZA coffee!

So is 79p the real price or did someone simply make a mistake?

Latte, french, sorry, italian for milky water. Prefer coffee myself.

But good price if its nationwide. About time there was reasonably priced non alcoholic drinks.

I have been into the Forest Hill Wetherspoons on two separate occasions. Both times after midday. I was charged 79p on both occasions.

Somebody marked this as being from 7-9am only. I have removed this as I made both purchases after midday.

It advertises small coffees only... but large coffees are at discretion of the pub manager, At our pub we do both at half price to try and get the extra custom.

However the after midday thing... i pass on that.... may just be a trainee making a mistake?!?

Both purchases were served by different staff. Could be a till glitch?

Lavazza? They should be ashamed selling this so so coffee to a chav establishment such as Wetherspoons. And who wants a large coffee the size of a gold fish bowl? Are we all yanks here? Real coffee is served in 8-10oz portions. If you own a fine coffee establishment, avoid Lavazza, or compete with peasants selling you coffee at under £1
