Struggling to find that perfect novelty gift for Crimbo? Look no further than this novelty police beacon for at least minutes of entertainment. Attach it to your car and drive into a wheelie bin for that authentic Frank Drebin experience, set it up in the living room for a "bust" party, or best of all, take it outside and hold it beside a friends downstairs window, and enjoy the ensuing curtain twitching and panic. I don't know if it's portable, but the idea is solid.

Barnacles. Option 2 it is then. Or a very long extension reel. With a timer plug.

Party police light? Don't they just turn up with their own on the van!

LOL, might get two, for the car.

Well I've just cut my commute to work down

no need to be stuck in a traffic jam anymore

Sure you can get convertor for lighter socket. Also sure it would be entirely illegal on the public road.

I think this works like a light fitting in the ceiling, could be wrong!

Anyone know if this is street legal?

Weirdly there seems to be no restrictions on buying a proper blue emergency beacon. Having trouble pinning down the exact law, can't see it being legal on the road.

Blue lights: The law states that only emergency vehicles can display blue lights so it is an offence if your vehicle has any LED or neon under-vehicle lighting system or lights on windscreen, washer jets or number plates emitting a blue light. The motorist could receive a £30 Fixed Penalty Notice and or be reported to court

Nee Noo

Don't think it's going to be as much fun inside the house as out...but there again... the wife likes to dress up....

Fit something that isn't neon or led then.

Gonna attach one to my cycle helmet. Use it when I get cut up. Should be interesting when I catch up to alongside the vehicle at the traffic lights. Ha!

Er, it could be an ambulance light...so "light" ist.....
