I got this email too, anyone know what is the 'best' of these types of helicopters?

This is not one of those naff Micro Copters, it is well built at about 60cm long.

You don't have full pitch control (forward/back), but its a good bit of kit at a very low price - Micro Copters are usually this price (like those at Play.Com and Amazon).

A hint for people wanting to order a couple in one day:
Aria will block 2 identical orders as it will assume they are duplicate (you need to order separately to retain the free postage).

You can order multiple by placing one order through Aria checkout and the other through Google Checkout - it doesn't seem to assume these are duplicates.

IMHO this offer is a waste of money.

I was asked for the 'best' in this type of helicopter and the Esky lame is the one to get if you want the 'best'

Don't waste your money on the one for £20
Looks like it has the same amount of control as the micro helicopters.

Hi Stora quick question,
Do you know where to get a eSky lama for £50?
Might be intrested in that if it flys back and forward

chris

p.s voted hot for £20

Got the eSky Lama from eBay. He was a local seller so I picked it up and saved on postage.

This type of helicopter are not easy to fly and you will need pleanty of spare blades and other bits and bobs.:)

I'm not sure what other names it comes under but I was impressed with the Bladerunner II helicopter Firebox used to offer for indoor use - it was fully controllable in all directions and with some practice it was possible to control it with a reasonable degree of accuracy.

Just had a quick "Google", and these seem to start from about £70, from somewhere such as www.heliguy.com ... quite a lot more!

Or perhaps you know of a cheaper source... other than eBay?

They are about £46 delivered from DealExtreme but you risk paying customs tax

hi there, am looking for a xmas present for my 6-7old son would one of these copters be suitable ( with adult supervison) or would i end up flying it as its too hard for a youngster ? thanks

we have one of these hellicopters, and personally i would never buy one ever again.

they are impossible to fly, break very easily and the battery pack will keep falling out

You might be better off with one of the Science Museums virtually indestructable airplanes and i think they do a helicopter too for a child. Our step son wants a rc helicopter but we are worried he would break a adult one so these seem like a good compromise with out breaking the bank at £34.99 each. They do recommend for age 14 yrs plus tho.

Silverlit X-Twins are great value for money (under £30) and really hard to break.
play.com do them cheap.
