Hey

just seen I called it a magnifier in the title, it's a full on 'Microscope', so I think it will do a lot closer detail than that 'magnifier'. My fault sorry.

Looks good though

This is basically a digital camera (CCD) with magnification and light ?
I wonder if you could get it to run with an tablet or a phone ?
Have to have USB Host ability etc

COCO

I don't even know what you would use this to view?
Probably more for younger students to view onion cells or very thin slides of leaves or even particles like sugar and salt.

The Veho ones and this one as well I assume are basic USB webcam devices, so drivers are not really required and they will work on almost any operating system. It is a proper microscope and all microscopes are magnifiers.

"Sperm" was the suggestion in a previous deal

Can u do that?
I want one!!!

Looks like a bresser junior dm400 notvery good reviews.
Might be worth saving your cash for the better bresser models they usually do just before xmas.

Reminded me of the Episode of the Simpsons, where Homer's Sperm Count is tested - very funny!
Shame its such a poor quality version on youtube, but obviously its copyrighted:

thanks for sharing, so sweet of you

Just bought one this morning for my wife's birthday (she works as a haematologist at the local hospital, and likes microscopes etc). Will try to post some photos this evening and thoughts of it.

cool, sounds good. cheers

anybody bought one of these yet? are there osx drivers available, as the lidl webpage only mentions windows? i just happen to have been looking for a cheap usb microscope to assist with some fine soldering jobs, and this could fit the bill.

Hotukdeals would be such a nice place if everyone was a polite as you. Hopefully it will rub off onto others.

I have just taken some photos (apologies for the bad quality!) and have uploaded them to Photobucket:

Please note that the microscope needs to be connected to a pc/laptop (our laptop's lcd is broken, hence the photo of the tv). The last photo shows one of the included slides...my wife seems quite impressed with the microscope (not sure that she will let me take it back to wrap up for her birthday, though!)

Could you confirm the model number please - Bresser microscopes are actually rather good, and £30 is a bargain.

Sure, the model number from the bottom is E102012

Sounds like a bargain to me. My son has a Veho one and I'm impressed with that - but the magnification is not that great. This thing looks like it's a lot higher.

Why was HotUKMichael banned? He seems perfectly lovely.

Does anyone know if a Mac OSX driver is available for this product?
