I just compared your flight and hotel separate to a package deal from lastminute and package deal beats it. Need to get away from wife for a week need to get back to vegas roll on 2016 holidays

I've stayed in the circus circus, massive hotel practically end of strip, took us half an hr to walk from entrance to our room

I havent stayed there but i have been to vegas before and seen what it looks like from the outside, plus its location. Its away from the action and it looks like it could do with being bulldozed and rebuilt if im honest. The prices of hotels in vegas are not MAJORLY different. If youre flying 5000 miles Id honestly recommend spending a little extra and staying somewhere nice or at least central strip

Its pretty much instant. You get accepted as soon as you pay the $14 as long as you havent got a major criminal record

m.smartervegas.com/hot…spx always have a look on here of youre booking hotels and flights separate too. There are some great deals to be had, free upgrades, dining credit per day etc, I havent used airbnb, In vegas id strongly suggest staying on the strip

I love airbnb, but I wouldn't use it in Vegas! Hotels are so cheap it's not worth the hassle of being off-strip. Look at The Excalibur and Luxor if you want somewhere cheap but central to the action.

if you want budget at least go monte carlor or luxor, circus circus is a little distance from the strip so youll just spend more money on taxis anyway, oh and yes its a dump

Totally agree.
I've been 20+ times. I always stay at off the strip hotels/motels.
Mainly because it's cheaper and I can park my car outside my room, instead of walking half a mile from the car park to the room.
Agreed, avoid CC. It's a while away from the best parts.

I can highly recommend the Vdara, which a lot of people overlook. It's a non-casino hotel joined the Belagio and Aria, which are also great options. Cosmopolitan was another incredible hotel.

I personally prefer the Aria, Cosmopolitan and Vdara, pretty much because they're the most modern on the strip and close to a lot.
I stayed at bellagio in June, never again. It took 15 minutes to get out of the building, thousands of tourists everywhere taking pics of flowers and chocolate fountains.
stayed at the Bellagio and yeah it's nice...very dated and felt like a retirement home!

Went to the Cosmopolitan for a few drinks and omg what a difference..next time I'm staying there!

Lol! That happened to me and my mate in yhe forum! Walked out of a fire exit and ended up on like a underpass with nobody in sight!

For the other posts, I stayed at the Aria and loved it, next summer im looking at the vdara, mirage or palazzo, love the location of the mirage though, central, literally the start of the fun!
Been to Vegas twice...stayed at Trump international first time then Platignum second time...both non casino hotels ...both slightly off the strip but both great hotels
To be honest when i go there i am just looking at somewhere to sleep thats clean as personally the more time i spend at the hotel to me is just wasted time as i am looking at las vegas as a base. Not interested in gambling etc just want to go explore and have some amazing experiences.

What you apply for is an ESTA, it's a visa waiver program rather than an actual visa. As long you have no criminal convictions (things like speeding offences don't count) you pay 14USD and it should accept you straight away.

the strip is all about the hotels mate, some people dont realise the strip is just made up of "resorts" ie "hotels and casinos"

if youve never been before its hard to decribe, but some "hotels" you can spend all day in easily and not need to leave the building - whilst seeing and doing lots of things

Maybe but i will not fly over 10,000 miles there and back to waste time in hotels never mind how luxurious i want to spend most of my time at grand canyon white water rafting ,hoover dam, area 51,day trip to Sedona etc but each to their own.

The ziplining is actually on freemont street which is downtown. No matter what you think you will spend most of your time in hotels as basically thats all you can do in Vegas lol!

Canyon would be amazing but is actually in Arizona, about 6hrs drive or there are plenty of helicopter tours which can take you.

Dont think of the hotels as hotels, they are actually resorts, amazing places each with a different theme
I love Vegas been over 30 times I would not go even if it was free if I had to stay at circus circus it's a hole full of the sort of visitors that enjoy staying in holes its miles down the strip in a not very nice are. Pay only very slightly more and stay at Exclibur or Even Tropicana now it's done up. What used to be the LV Hilton thinks it's Westin or something now has some amazing deals it's not in the strip but does have monorail station in fact anywhere but Circus Circus or Stratosphere

Be warned that 99% of helicopter tours do not go to Grand Canyon national park but Grand Canyon west this is not the same no does not resemble the Grand Canyon you have seen on TV, if the tour goes to the sky bridge then it's not the national park, if the helicopter lands in the Grand Canyon it's not the national parkThe tours you want to go on go to Grand Canyon South Rim most go by plane to Grand Canyon airport and then coach tour or even just fly over both are far better than teh tours to Grand Canyon west.

tbh it sound like its not even worth him going anywhere near vegas but perhaps go somewhere more out in the sticks to do all the site seeing,
iv booked to go in january for the first time, staying at the encore wynn reading numerous reviews this seemed like one of the best. thanks for posting about the grand canyon didnt realise the difference and didnt realise it was so far away ☺
Hilton Elara. Free parking at Miracle Mile shopping centre (you walk into it from the hotel and then out on to the strip). Situated behind Planet Hollywood hotel and Casino, The Hilton Elara is quiet, smoke free and casino free. We parked literally 25yds from the hotel entrance, never more than 100yds, in the free multi storey car park. Just park on floor 3.

yes thats why we are going i think for the casinos haha
just be careful when booking your hotel as most the hotels on the strip charge a resort fee per night of your stay and it can add up. think the mgm group are quite up in the price range so do ask or read the print before you book a hotel on strip. 20+ dollars per night resort fee is what they charge on strip
