From experience me and the missus sight things by eye and are more often than not more accurate than any level currently on the market. She lies horizontally and I drill away, never missed the target yet!

Ordered one for a tenner can't be that bad

Reading some of the earlier reviews doesn't sound that good. For a tenner though worth a try
Got a bosch quigo laser level. Paid alot for it but its good. I paid £35 from b&q

Bought one of these some time ago. Waste of time. Poor quality/flimsy tripod. Spend ages trying to get the spirit level bubbles sorted properly and looks ok, but when you put another long level along the line on the wall, it's way off horizontal.
Never used it since!

I’ve got the bosch one too... compact and really handy, use it more than I thought plus it’s cool as it has a laser
The reviews are terrible, though it is good for annoying the cat.

Got one of these too, but the B&Q Macallister ones for £8 recently have better specs. Just a shame they have no integrated lens cover like the quigo, I use my bosch quite a lot more than I expected. Just simple stuff like a new TV wall mount at xmas, line it up and whack the holes in knowing they're spot on.
I've got one, really not great, but it does vaguely do the job. Builder friend used it a few weeks ago and moaned and moaned about it, but for me a diyer - it does give an almost straight line which seems fairly level - certainly enough to get a bath level.

So this cat of yours how good is it at tiling bathrooms without the laser lever?

Ordered thanks OP
Got one a few years ago, and as others have said -not great. Very fiddly to set up, not very precise, and the main thread to connect to the tripod just snapped! This thread has reminded me I really should just bin the remaining bits!
Was going to post this yesterday and having read the eviews decided againt as well as deciding not to buy.

Shame its not less than this would have been tempted just for the tripod with the base plate levelling feet which also seems to have the bulls-eye for setting the base plate level would have worked really well with the Mac Allister laser level bought from B&Q for £8.

I used it for a few tv mounts and curtain poles. And my builder borrows it
Saw the image, thought it was a telescope.

Cold.
You could then achieve 'true level"!

Give it a go for a tenner.
Go for a Stanley Cubis under £40. The laser goes floor to celing and has an excellent clamp. I have used it to level tiles, drywall, beading, door frames, doors. Tons better than the rubbish Bosch Quigo.

Wanna bet?
Perfect for a game of Laser Limbo!

If only you could turn up the beam power/intensity to offer added incentive!
