went to the Cardiff La Tasca Friday, was lush, will go back soon
looks like its aimed at full price items only, cant be used with any other offers.
There's a few BOGOF offers that always seem to be available including Vouchercloud
hot from me, like th food but only go when they have their regular deals on. I hope they don' t stop the bogof tapas from now on.
I've always loved the food and the service has always been fantastic ...Hot from me!
Bloody awful food. Cold!
no - you need to use it next time ! or you might be able to use it for coffee etc after if you can ge them to charge separately because the deal is a set price ?
can you use the £5off sign up voucher though? just it says this promotion not in conjunction with any other offer? x
LOL may be her mum's cooking is crap!:p
wow u did get ur monies worth LOLz
spent over 3 hours there today. my god, what a feast. I ate worth £31+ (10dishes). It's not only about the quantity: EVERY SINGLE TAPA WAS DELICIOUS
Isnt this just their Tapa for a Tenner deal which they ran for about 4 years till recently? Think the menu you can chose from is limited and agree the food can be hit and miss.
Been to a few different branches over the past year, and quite frankly i'd only go again if we were standing very near one, feeling very hungry, with nowhere else nearby. Its ok, but there's no denying its all just fried / microwaved cheap food, served in little dishes. £10 is about right. They make more from the house wine, which I recommend avoiding!!!
They've laid down the gauntlet..................I accept!
always been great food when i've been in :) £10 is a bargain, don't think i've ever tried more than 4 dishes in one sitting!
what a day to give a promotion lol would've been a good try though
The one in Lakeside is good, Bluewater was poor. I would not say they are all bad. Voted hot.
Agreewith the majority,very poor food
Yeah, clearly...duhhh! Also, it tastes like **** when it's been reheated in this manner - especially when the one nearest you, in my case Silverburn Shopping Centre, can't even get the food hot.
That was a voucher SAMPLE only. New vouchers here : http://www.latasca.co.uk/promotions/feast/register
Says Wednesday 24th when I view it; Heat added !
says Wednesday 17th
WOW!! Imagine taking date there... Love... fill your boots with Potatas Bravos!
just come back from my night at la tasca, all was good, coulnt fault it, good service, feel absolutely stuffed!! Ill be back thanks OP!! :)
Wow... hilarious... a joke that was popular in the 80's. ..and yes it is a voucher deal, which ever way you want to dress it up.
I don't expect large portions I understand what tapas is, the taste was ok. The chicken wings were very nice but nothing else was really. Just because they are small portions does not excuse putting a stick in a piece of chicken and calling it a skewer.
lol well in all fairness it is a tapas restaurant so they aint gonna be large portions. Its all about the taste which in my experience has been very good, and I am usually a picky git
Waitrose? Don't be silly. Most of the users on HUKD shop at Iceland. (_;)
did anyone get free food??
OK, I'll place a £1 bet on that offer, but if Spain win, then I need £1,000,000 back as my prize winnings :p ;)
Er Spain winning the World cup, I'll offer anyone 10 - 1 that Holland win!
There's only one way to sort this out. FIGHT!!!
all their food is microwaved, yuck
"If you like Tapas this restaurant is for you!!!!!" Could not disagree more - awful tapas.
Excludes Glasgow :(
I went to La Tasca on Saturday for the first and last time. My girlfriend goes to Salsa lessons there and it was one of her mates' 40th, so it made sense to eat there before dancing at the same venue. First shock - I went to buy myself a pint of Carlsberg and a glass of house dry white wine for the birthday girl. £11! I gave the waiter a tenner and he told me I needed another quid, turns out it was £7.20 for a bog-standard glass of house wine! Second - I brought the drinks upstairs to the restaurant to find the starters there. Or so I thought. Me and the girlfriend ordered the £30 selection for two to find that the starters were the whole thing. The rice was tasteless, the meatballs were plainly microwaved cheap ones, etc etc. The girlfriend got a bit annoyed as I kept going on about it for 5 minutes. But I have never, ever caused a scene in a restaurant - if I don't like the place i'll simply not return and will give my concerns to the staff if they ask. But this was something else - microwave food, and very little of it, for £30.I'd have paid a third of that in Wetherspoons and got both more and better. Avoid!
I agree with the above. Went last weekend as we have always enjoyed going. It was rubbish. £6.00 for 6 king prawns - prawns were so small!!! All other Tapas were all sauce and no meat. Shan't be rushing back, deal or no deal :(
I used to like La Tasca, but lately the fact the food is just microwaved crap, has changed my opinion - especially when they can't even leave it in the microwave for long enough.
That will come in handy as fuel for Matthew Street Festival in Liverpool this weekend.
ooooh! thanks just signed up, the voucher can be used all day every day until Monday!!!! Think we may use it tomorrow! Thanks again!
I doubt La Tasca charge for bookings, mind you I've never needed to book! Tapas for a tenner sounds great until you realise all of the best dishes aren't included. Spend the extra £4 or £5 and get four or five dishes that you really want.
Yup I have done that ..they even put the tables together... but you need to take two printed vouchers. If the manager is nice they will do it...:)
Never been to La Tasca before but thinking of booking for the Tapas for a Tenner at one of the London ones. Anyone know what can happen if you book but cant get there for some reason (eg if our train was delayed)? Can they still make you pay? I have heard that if you book a table somewhere it is a contract and if they cant rebook they can make you pay. Also with the two dine for £10 offer; anyone been when there are three or five in the party? Or must there always be an even number of diners?
Oooh 241 wagamama or this for La Tasca....decisions decisions...cheers hot!
tesco clubcard tokens are at £4 for £1 so effectively 75% off.
I got all my numbers mixed up on that one  I was in year 2007 and thought April was 05 - must have been having a bad day. Edited now, thanks for pointing it out :-)
Vouchers are printed until Fri April 4, not May 4
If you eat at La Tasca, look out for voucher/coupon printed in the Telegraph 29/03/08 - 04/05/08 offering 50% off food at La Tasca. 2-4 people per voucher, drinks excluded. Ends April 27th. I don't understand how the offer ends before they've finished printing the coupon...
I contacted my local la tasca and they said that they would not accept tesco vouchers on the tenner for tapas offer though, which would have been even better. Some do though, so worth ringing ahead and deciding which offer works out better for you.
Thanks for fixing it - still learning :) La Tasca was included in the Tesco clubcard deals a while ago (already posted) - so have added the word clubcard to the post above.
Just called the Cambridge store and the tapas for a tenner promotion is only valid on Monday (all day). The staff mentioned that timing of the promotion varies from store to store. Voted hot still!
I emailed La Tasca a couple of weeks ago as I was thinking of getting the vouchers, this was their reply: remember also that deals vouchers can only be used for food, not for drinks. (I went for the Tootsies vouchers in the end)
nice find.... cheers OP
I'm finished with La Tasca - Went to their Harrogate one on Sunday and was not impressed. Their meatballs are DISGUSTING. They were dark brown and hard in the middle - really, really horrid. I've been off work with Ghandis revenge since going there. If in Leeds area try Viva Cuba on Kirkstall Road in Leeds - its much much better - proper home cooked Tapas with a great atmosphere.
How does this deal work then? Is it a buffet style thing or do you order whatever you want from the menu?
http://www.tesco.com/CLUBCARD/DEALS/...EETS/S2015.PDF Deals Token(s) cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer - including promotional menus. My local La Tasca would not accept them against the Tapas for a tenner deal.

Some of the restaurants are strict and some not with using 2 or more promotions/offers/deals. Their t&c probably state you cannot be used in conjunction with another offer, if they accept for the £10 buffet you have had a massive result !! La Tasca have been sold fairly recently and bought by the Laurel Pub Company, who also have their other brands on Tesco clubcard deals such as Slug/Lettuce, Litten Tree etc. hence them being added only very recently.
So I could have their £10 buffet meal for £2.50 in vouchers? Also is there a limit on how many one can use at a time?
It is better to use your clubcard vouchers for days out etc as a £2.50 clubcard voucher equates to £10.00 (4x the value) when used in this way. If you check the Tesco website it will give you all the info:thumbsup:
Have you seen how easy it is to make their most expensive dishes..... ]No wonder La Tasca ca offer this deal Put raw prawns in a bowl and heat .......Garnish..... serve - £4.95 and £2 tip...... Great deal though
hot! hot! hot! i love la tasca food and the ambiance of the place also. i see it also states that you can add a bottle of wine for a tenner : )
AFAIK it's a permanent offer. I first noticed it a few years back. It may be worth mentioning that they can decide not to do tapas for a tenner during busy periods. I went fairly recently, sat down, asked for the tapas for a tenner menu and was told because the restaurant was busy with a couple of large birthday groups they were not offering tapas for a tenner.
*BUMP* This deal is still going, was going to post until I found this one. Obviously not very well advertised as I've been there since and there was no mention of it? Here is the ]link to their website which still displays the offer.
I expect the restaurants only offer this promotion in their quiet times, maybe that's why different areas have different times. The Brighton Tasca runs the offer every day except Saturday. However we just came back from there and the experience was pretty average. The food was OK, but oh my, the salt! Everything was covered in large crystals of rock salt! I had to buy a bottle of water on the way home! Perhaps to make you buy more drinks? ;-) I got to the point where I couldn't eat any more because I was too thirsty. Oh and you may find, as I did, that dishes such as the Paella (with mixed seafood) come with 1 muscle, and the rest is all rice. This was the case with a few dishes. The comment earlier concerning the expense of the wine is also true. Also the side salad on everything made you wonder if it was recycled through the night. It was limp, brown and mangy. Other than that the service was pretty good and it was a tenner each! I won't be going back though.
