You would think but this design first appeared in the ROG Gaming laptop several years ago now - and it has proved to be very robust. It looks fancy but the actual mechanics of it are very simple (and it always remains very sturdy)
Here is the original ROG Duo review from a couple of years ago that the design of this one is based on

That's a 10th gen intel laptop
plus most would rather spend the £50 and buy from a proper retailer with warranty that will be honoured
That is a 10th gen processor. If you want to save some real money you could go for one of these:

These two are both 11th gen. (edited)
Thanks - brain fog on my part - better get that test kit out ;-)
I know what you mean - but you soon get used to it and the elongated shape reflects the fact that it covers both the screens so it is actually quite handy :-)
I had a Surface Laptop 4 and I loved it - but then I got one of these. OK, there is maybe something missing in terms of aesthetics vs the Surface but the extra screen won out for me.
The bottom screen can change to a giant mouse pad should you wish.
Same, my ambition is now the 11th gen 582 but for now I am happy enough :-)
Each to their own I guess

I think my next could be a UX9702. 17" foldable tablet that becomes an 12" laptop, removable bluetooth keyboard you can put over half the screen or use separately. Basically the Lenovo X1 Fold but bigger and a better CPU. (edited)
Not everyone wants a big and heavy gaming machine which lasts 3 minutes on battery. Some people don't game or use any GPU intensive apps, they just want a light and quiet machine for work and multimedia.
Quite right and that is why I said I would rather have and each to their own
Second screen is definitely a nice edition. do you have 2nd screen on desktop? (edited)
Yes, i have a second screen on desktop and this is why would be useful a laptop like this when traveling and need to work.
