Basically, an application has just been released today that lets you read GamesTM magazine on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can buy a 6 month or 12 month subscribtion if you want to, but if you just buy the application for 59 pence you get the latest issue free.
Pretty good deal if you ask me, seeing as the magazine is usually four or five quid as far as I can remember.
I'm not sure how to link to the iTunes Store, but if you just search for Pixel Mags or Games Magazine, you should be able to find it easily.
Enjoy!

how does it work? all the articles minus the pictures? loads like a normal webpage, pinching to zoom in and out?

Nope, you flick between the pages using your finger and it's just like the actual magazine with all the pictures and everything. You double tap to zoom in and it takes you to the right zoom to read smaller text. You can then zoom back out by double tapping again.
It works well, I am reading it now.

cool. will search for it later

damn, I just read that seconds after I clicked download. tried cancelling it just by switching the ipod off, but too damn late.

Anyway, each new issue seems a bit of a rip off at £3. Much better to spend the extra £1.50 for a proper copy. Would be much more tempting if they put the issues at around £1.50

edit: just went in to the app, any idea if I just wait to register till after Thursday if I will get new issue instead?

Yes, I agree. I'm not complaining for 59p though, even if the new issue is out soon. Wanted to reade the feature on Spec Ops: The Line anyways.

Finest games mag around.

I've been a subscriber since issue 2 and have recently cancelled, in my opinion it's gone right down the pan over the last 18 months. The retro section has been done to death and the magazine as a whole has become too EDGE-like...
