Some big savings on the stylish, well made and durable timeless designs from Laura Ashley in the Easter sale but the mattresses and divans are not showing up in the sale page so I've linked there separately.

If you go to the Laura Ashley 'Easter Spectacular' page with sale items you'll find a bunch of armchairs, sofas and other furniture and bedding etc. What's not so clear is that they're also doing 60% off Mattresses and Divans - although the page is currently empty due to some bug or glitch on the site it seems.

Some of the stuff they sell is really nice design that lifts the decor of a whole room. In my experience it is really well made, things like the leather armchairs are built to last, comfy and stylish.

I've no experience of the mattresses though and would like to know your thoughts as I'm in the market for a double and places like Argos and Dreams are only doing about 20% off on their sites currently - and perhaps they're over priced. If the mattresses are as good as the leather armchairs then they'll be a cut above any of the non brand or silentnight types available elsewhere.

Couple of examples of things:

Abingdon Range - all of this is really nice IMO

The two seater sofa - was £2,400 now £960.

And this Eversham Double Mattress was £700 now £280

(The hole in the side is for illustrative purposes only!)

It looks the business to me, so I'm thinking of ordering one or another from there.

I've a couple of armchairs from a similar but different range, from day one the leather was luxurious and soft and they've lasted despite sometimes being host to a big bum. I try not to sit in them with jeans that have metal bits at the corners of the pockets etc but I do it all the time, even at that they've stood up to it really well.

Thanks, never know what to make of online reviews now a days so hoping someone can share their experience here. Wonder what they would sleep on.

If anyone has any other deals for mattresses please share.

There are some really terrible reviews on the mattress I posted here, wow. “Like sleeping on coins” pfff no thanks.

Nevertheless I can’t fault the other products. Perhaps a different one from the range is good.

rubbish company, recently I ordered 2 towels on their website, a week later no progress. Nearly a month later still no refund

Odd, sounds like gearbest.
Their stuff seems expensive, a £2400 sofa reduced to £960. Was it really worth almost two and a half grand? I've a couple of almost 10 year old leather sofas which look almost as good today as they did cost £600 for both in sale

I don't know if any sofa in the world is worth two and a half grand.

Their stuff looks great, isn't in everyone's living rooms and has a prestige element too if someone else knows their Laura Ashley stuff. It's well designed, the worst thing in Laura Ashley looks better than the best thing from DFS and many other things that people care about.

But no, I wouldn't buy full price from them. I have no doubt that a lot of rich folk do.

I like their stuff, but be warned - when things go wrong you've got one hell of a battle on your hands to get things sorted. Incompetence is putting it mildly
I'm voting Cold based on the obviously heavily inflated RRP's in order to generate these "deals". £1800 for a one seater leather chair, get real.

It’s not DFS where new items are introduced at a high price just to go on sale later. They don’t go out of fashion. The leather doesn’t look old after a couple of years. It’s good stuff, mostly, and people know it’s good and expensive so maybe it’s like the iPhone of armchairs.

But unlike Apple and DFS the same stuff is sold year after year and the price goes up generally not down. Also they’re not on sale all year, usually they’re full price.

It’s just luxury products that have a high price and on sale at 60% off.

Dubious about the sofa frames - “includes hardwoods” sounds like what they really mean is “mainly chipboard”...

Their customer service is notoriously poor.
If you want further discount, apply for one of the Laura Ashley credit cards (a Mastercard Credit Card, provided by New Day) in store - they'll give you another 10% off the total. So we've just had 40% off the furniture we chose, then another 10% off the bill. That'll do nicely !!

OK, so it involved completing their online application in store, so an extra 10 minutes, and it will have involved a credit check, but that 10 minutes saved us £126. I had to pay with my existing credit card, because the application didn't complete (not sure why), but I'm not worried if they turn down my application - the discount has already been applied.
There’s also 10% off first online order for signing up to the newsletter. I assume there’s no way of using that in addition to the credit card application 10%?

I’m very close to buying the leather sofa pictured but reviews of Laura Ashley are terrible - for furniture in particular. I know online reviews are pretty meaningless when the unknown amount of happy customers don’t run to their keyboards to release, but these reviews are REALLY bad by any standard.

Schwifty, convince me. Your last couple of posts were good, but do you have any experience with recent Laura Ashley furniture?

In fact I’m struggling to find a single positive review.
Thank you for the post! Ordered a sofa on Monday at 50% off which has now been discounted to 60% which is a saving of £252 to go towards my first home!

Additionally, use code SS18 for a further 10% off.

Whats with the ludicrous delivery times. Is it really taking them 6 weeks to deliver a mattress and more than 2 months to deliver furniture.
Is that unusual? I’ve had long waits like that for furniture and a mattress from other companies.

They’re made to order in another country.

Seems much longer than likes of HoF, john lewis, M&S, which tend to be a few days. I would have thought that items on sale are already manufactured and they just clearing stock. I might be wrong.
