So sad how they never got any royalties for these movies. Heat added
Hey for all you laurel & hardy fans, if you planning a trip to Amsterdam anytime soon, you got to check out the Laurel & Hardy Cafe in Zandvoort, I came across it purely by chance after a nice day on the beach, I fancied a nice pint, 1st place I found was this cool classic pub purely dedicated to Laurel & Hardy, I took loads of photos, to many to share on here, so here is the link to the official website check it out.

Wow! This is a super deal! My brother-in-law is crazy about these two and loves all their films. This will be a great gift to put by for Christmas for him. Thanks very much for posting
Stan: I see a monkey.
Oliver: A what?
Stan: A monkey.
Oliver: Well it doesn't surprise me a bit. If you don't quit drinking that brandy, you'll be seeing pink elephants.

Simpy brilliant and the best
Such a shame you can't get the complete L&H to download or online. I'm just not keen on DVDs any more.
Heat added. You rarely get to see these classic films on TV or anywhere anymore when they use to be a staple of child-hood. Here's a good Youtube review of what's included in the box-set:

So tempted .......
thankfully missing "Bonnie Scotland"
I don't believe the £99 RRP & it wouldn't allow me to apply a 10% discount code for first order either!

I know it's entirely irrational, but I feel cheated now, so I'm not buying it!
Great christmas gift, thanks

The casting was perfect in that. Even the scenes where they reenact the comedy on stage, it was like watching the real thing.
Hi all, can anyone who has this let me know if there are subtitles available please?
Not hyjacking the OP's thread in any way, but for those who needs it sooner you can pick it up for £2 more at HMV Westfield. But this is a cracking price and heat added

"you can pick it up for £2 more at HMV Westfield."

That's a good heads-up that, but in case you're not already aware, there's already more than one Westfield's out there (Shepherd's Bush, and Stratford).

And soon to be three as well (West Croydon).

So you're gonna have to be a wee bit more 'specific' then that of saying just Westfield alone, or whatever?, lol, thanx.

Someone else earlier (on a different Thread on here), mentioned a generic Westfield also, lol, there's more than just one London Westfield's out there everyone ... :-)

Hahahahahahahahaha, I hear, I hear, and no problem, you're totally forgiven @Deal-boy-trotter , because, believe it or not, even 'Delboy' started off an amateur (ok, ok, it could be argued that the vet elusive Only Fool's and Horse's Delboy forever remained an 'amateur', lol, but still ... )

Anyways, all laughing and joking aside, I thought it was worth highlighting that Westfield's technicality', etc?, just in case it possibly waylaid others, or something ... :-D

It's alllllll good though. ;-)

So, out of interest, which of the Westfield's was it in then?

Stratford?.
Or Shepherd's Bush?.

Lol. :-)

Looooooool, I totally agree!, I luvvvvvvvvv that particular sketch too. :-D
Love these two, and recently watched a docu on them Stan Laurels daughter when she was little said she did not like Hardy as she always saw him bashing her dad! As the two men were really good friends they made a film where Stan got one over on Ollie and this then endeared her to Ollie Lovely story and a great little docu . OH and great deal OP. Might just bite at the innocent comedy with out a swear word in sight

Honestly if I ever find myself in Amsterdam I won't be coming across anything purely by chance..

They did use a lot of minced oaths, the favourite being 'tarnation.
Sadly a lot of kids these days don't see the appeal - it is currently being aired on a Freeview channel though.
I guess offline media is the way to go for all these kind of shows, especially the more "politically incorrect" ones
George Formby, the Carry on series (although that is tipped to being re-booted!), Kenny Everett, Benny Hill.
It looks like celebrity and meritocracy has won over talent, art & skill!
I'd rather watch this over what is being pushed as Saturday morning entertainment. A bit of Abbott and Costello or Harold Lloyd wouldn't go amiss, although I might draw the line @ Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis...
I really should have went to bed, instead I stayed up & watched this

The relevant part is @ 25:53!
yannie and hardy?

Hehehehehehe, you know what, Harry Enfield took a wee while to grow on me when I was a bit younger (there were some of his stretches that just seemed plain odd, and/or weird when I was smaller I guess?).

But being a bit older, and (arguably) a bit wiser nowz I'm appreciating some of his earlier stuff's a bit more now though.

I'm luvvvvvvvvv'ing the Dragon's Den sketch mind, looooooool.

I remember seeing the re-runs of that particular Dragons Den sketch about 1 Decade ago, but for some reason, I don't recall some of the 'characters' on there.

Which is interesting in itself, as I guess they're more like a fine wine, which:

A.) Needs time to breath, and/or

B.) Gets better with age. :-)

Take your pick ... lol.

That's a good You Tube link by the way. :-D

Oh that's a shame. That's my favourite one! Ah well, it's still a fantastic offer
the best of all time - still makes me laugh so much after all these years.

Probably (I wouldn't mind a link to those elusive 'downloaded media' please?). :-D

That aside though, it'll probably cost you just as much to download them alllllll, via various online 'sources', than it probably would to simply buy them on DVD outright ...

Or am I missing something?, lol.
