Lavazza Espresso Coffee Beans £3.00 per 250g @ Asda

Really nice beans these, picked up six packs this morning from Asda, work out cheaper this way than buying a kilo online, Amazon around £16 a kilo at the moment, this works out at £12. Don't confuse with the red Lavazza Rossa bean, those are a mix of Arabica and Robusta beans, these however are 100% Arabica.

I disagree. I think that the red-packaged variety is nasty stuff. I envy you, though, because I have to spend significantly more to enjoy my cup of coffee.

I got 20 packs of these last year on cc from asda for £1.50 a pack,
Was glad to see the back of them.
Not the best coffee.
Red is a bit weak for me,I really like these black espresso packs. Did manage to get a few kgs from Amazon last year at £6.50kg, but this is best current price. Will be getting a few bags, cheers.

Totrally agree, and did the same. Much prefer the Rossa.

Think the Rossa is £2.80 in Tesco atm-if you're not a Costco member.

It depends how you like your coffee and everyone's taste differ, for my bean to cup machine these are far nicer than the Red Rossa beans however if you need ground coffee for filter machines than Rossa are probably better suited as these beans are for Espresso and bean to cup machines.
Heat for the price, but having tried them, not sure why they are so expensive for a meh bean. For the same price Waitrose own beans are really good, and the Tesco finest are also pretty nice, especially the Sumatra ones.
This is what I buy for my bean to cup machine - Lavazza super crema - currently £55.50 for 6kg. What do you experts reckon? Any advances on better espresso beans at similar prices?

Thanks for the input Much cheaper certainly. Why do you think much better?
I prefer them of the 2, if doubtful just order smaller pack and try,
Obviously grind will need adjusting to taste.
good deal i switched to this from the rossa bean as i didn't like the taste much no matter how much i tweaked with the settings.
But this black pack is great gives me a proper coffee taste which i didn't feel i was getting with the rossa but as others have said all personal choice at the end.
