Got 3 boxes of these to go with my new jolie machine. This is my first coffee pod machine, can anyone tell me if it's normal for it to take about 3 minutes to fill a regular sized mug? I just got it yesterday and have used it twice.
mine takes about that amount of time too, but it's worth waiting for
My idola coffee machine with the pod take 30 sec for single espresso

If you're going to try and fill a mug when the coffees it dispenses is espresso cup sized amounts at a time, that is not unusual. I have an AEG machine a mug will take a similar amount of time

Yes for a mug of coffee it takes two 'large' fills on my AEG machine. This takes between 2 and 3 mins. I always warm my coffee mug with boiling water for a min or two before placing it into the coffee machine. This ensures that my coffee is still hot at the end of the 2-3 mins delivery time
Thanks everyone!
21.25p not the cheapest right? (Not being a hater, just got a machine so new to this). I picked up a box of 16 for £2 from Robert dyas clearance few weeks ago, now ooo

Once the coffee coming through turns pale, the grounds are 'spent' and may bring a bitter taste into the coffee.

Generally, I think the idea is your find the amount of water that works for you - i.e. draws out enough of the coffee without the bitterness - and then top up with water from the kettle to make an mug full.

I'd dispense a smaller amount of coffee and then top up with hot water to suit your taste. I wouldn't be trying to fill a mug directly from the machine. The coffee isn't going to taste as good.

Today Amazon have a Deal of the Day. I've just bought a 16 pack so 16 x 16 for £34 . Just over £2 a box is the best deal I've ever seen by far. The cheapest in the past 5 years I've been able to buy has been £3 a box when on offer at Tescos/John Lewis/Sainsburys
