This exciting collaboration between Lavazza and Smeg has produced a quick and simple option for those who need their morning coffee in a hurry, using a coffee pod system. The machine uses Lavazza a modo mio capsules which are eco-friendly and compostable. Simply pop in a pod and choose between an espresso or long espresso depending on your preference. Water is heated up quickly thanks to the 10-bar pump pressure and 1450 W power output so you can be sure to enjoy your coffee as soon as possible. The drip tray can be removed to allow taller cups to be used and this also allows for easy cleaning. There is also a handy energy saving feature so after 7 minutes of inactivity, the machine goes into stand by.

Rule no 1 when posting a deal on here! Double check to make sure it’s not cheaper elsewhere!
What’s the best pod machine to buy?
I think I'd get one that uses the original Nespresso pods, biggest choice.
There's the L'Or Barista Sublime ones when they're on offer at £59.99 again. Aldi do one also I think. Refurbed original Nespresso machine off ebay maybe.
Nespresso don't seem to have offers on their original pod machines anymore.
EDIT: Hotel Chocolate currently selling a Dualit one that uses original Nespresso pods for £49.95: hotelchocolat.com/uk/…tml(edited)
I know it looks nice but why not just buy a lavazza machine that costs £30 ? (edited)
If SMEG is involved I'd give it a month after the guarantee runs out
Pay on credit card for anything over £100
Same price on Currys
At least they got the colour right

Thanks for the Amazon link, black machine was better for us
Can only seem to get the capsules online now unfortunately.
Amazon packs of 36 best value.
Passionale best one by a mile, probably the best capsule for any machine, unless Nespesso have some Vertuo one that I don't know about.
They sell them in Asda as I bought some tonight. I'm not sure if there would be much benefit over the standard Lavazza machine to be honest.
If the quality of other SMEG products is anything to go by, I'll pass thanks. All show and no go as they say. Buy a Nespresso or Lavazza machine instead
