Great price. If I had not just received my coffee direct delivery I'd be all over this.

At least that's an obvious typo, whereas if you'd 'brought' them from Tesco, that would be a different matter.

Personally find this stuff too weak in my Senseo machine, shame since I got 2 bags of beans from Costco as a result of a previous HUKD deal.

Ive just come back from an extra store nd they were still £4.46 there. The reductions this morning was at a superstore so try the superstores rather than the extra stores
Belfast Metro didn't have the double packs and the singles were full price. I did pick up 6 bags of Lavazza espresso beans 250g (the black bag) at a reduced to clear price of 1.79ea. Also got a double pack of Douwe Egberts Cafetiere Blend for 2.70 to try. Going to pop into my local Tesco after work, hopefully they will have the double Rossa pack.

I used to use a coffee duck, but it stopped working after a few 1000 cups, so reverted to the ecopads I'd bought years earlier (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ecopad-refillable-reusable-coffee-machine/dp/B0007INM5A), I find the Lavazza beans have to be ground a lot finer to even come close to the flavour of any of the Costco beans (I'm not precious about coffee, more concerned about price, so try most types of bean). I suspect the coffee duck would have allowed more coffee to be used, but comparing like for like this stuff is definitely not as strong as the coffees I used previously.

When you look at the beans/ground coffee they are a lot lighter brown than any other brand I've ever used, in hindsight I should have remembered when I last had the ground it was weaker, with a more vanilla aroma and quite a different flavour.

That said, after around 10-14 cups, the human taste gets used to a flavour, so I find it a lot more pleasant than I did at the start, the only downside, it's definitely got the caffeine kick of other coffees, but it's subtly hidden by the mild flavour, it's very reminiscent of a good decaf bean I normally use.

I actually quite like the Tesco Italian Roast which is only 2.29, run out so need to pop in to Swansea. Will see what else is on offer
My local tesco had only the cafedirect ground coffee on reduced, the store is a medium-to-big size store. Have a big store abit further away, will check that one out.
    £4.49 both my local tescos
£2.84 in Tenterden...but only one left when I visited at lunchtime.
£4,49 in Irvine Riverway. It's on offer until March at 2 for £5 anyway (to match Asda offering) so not much of a saving. However, I did get some Café Direct Espresso ground for espresso machines at £1.74 so am glad I visited.

    Cheers Mike, very informative!
I got one in Tesco Yorkgate Belfast (Cityside) yesterday. They also had the Lavazza expresso beans mentioned above and various other coffees and a few teas reduced to clear. Stock was going fast yesterday afternoon.
Got a couple in Cirencester @ £2.84. Also got some Twinings hot chocolate reduced to clear. Thanks op.
