That's the cover not the bottom.

Great tub. Bought one from amazon last week for £275.
For people who do not realise like me, you sit on the floor.... I expected the bottom to be inflated, but it isn't.

Sit on the inflated lid insert
This is an absolute bargain. Great starter tub to see if it's for you. I have the NY one now and am in in most weekends rain or shine. So relaxing and good for aches and pains
According to online stock checker there are none in stock in derby
£250 in Warrington
£250 in Swansea
What are the electricity costs like on these?
I have this tub I love it started to get extras now this is £250 in B&m so this is a steal

I can't rememeber what model I had, but the bottom was definitely inflated. Is the uninflated bottom just this model?

The website suggest £7-10 per week, obviously depending on usage

Just as I thought. I don't have mine anymore, but was sure it was not an uninflated bottom

Unreal deal well found
Has anyone actually seen one for £200 as it's showing £250 at all my local stores

250 in derby store.
This is not nationwide. Visited the store in Wigston, Leicestershire, late today and they are selling them at £250.

I didn't share that link. I'm still sure the bottom inflates.

I have one and it doesn't. However the bottom is a little padded, it's not just one flimsy layer of plastic. Maybe I didn't feel the floor so hard as I have some padding of my own
Nobody else seems to have confirmed they also got it for £200...
Why is this getting so much heat if the price is £250 and not £200??

Exactly. Someone above has confirmed they have been in the OP store and it wasn’t this price too.

Was definitely £200 in B&Q at Osmaston Park in Derby. They still had a couple left about 3:30pm.

Sounds like it wasn't nationwide though.

Yeah definitely £200
Visit the one today and it price came up as 400. They said they don't use this company
I have this, great spa. A few things to note:
- the bottom does not inflate
- we used padded foam tiles underneath to make it super comfy
- in terms of size you can fit 2 adults, and we can squeeze a couple of kids in but 4 adults is unrealistic
- the pump or the heater can be on at one time, so if the bubbles are blowing it's not heating. I don't see this as being important as it doesn't heat that fast anyway and you lose far more heat just by being in it with the lid off in any case
- it takes the best part of a day to heat up from around 15 degrees. We use a hose attachment and connect the hose to an indoor hot tap to fill it initially.

- you will need chemical tablets (chlorine/bromine) and shock to keep it clean
- it's worth getting some pond filter wool to cover the filters with. Cheap and means they last a lot longer before needing a clean
Also be careful of cats. Cats are evil! One punctured my neighbours tub, and another punctured ours (probably the same one..). I have fixed it but they are agents of Satan..
The electricity cost to keep these on all the time is ridiculous.

I just put a tea towel over the meter no worries

Yes some of the other models can do both but not the Miami

£5+ a day? Depends on outside temperature and water temperature that you want
bought one on Sunday for 250.

good starter hot tub. easy set up.
needed a few foam mats to sit it on and a starter kit with all the chemicals needed. all in approx 325.
HovisUK07/05/2019 12:58

This is wrong, any Lay-Z-Spa with the pump from 2017 onwards can heat & use AirJet at the same time. Its only those with HydroJets that cannot do both together. The Miami is AirJet so can do both.

Sorry yes it appears they have changed it, although I'm not sure on the dates. I bought mine mid 2018 from b & q and i believe it only allows the pump or heater at one time.

It's also worth noting (I've been reading up on spas having looked at some premium ones recently) that a lot of these things are constrained by the wattage, so a 13w spa may say pump(s) and heat (and lights and music..!) but the reality is with limited power in you face a compromise somewhere. I don't know how that impacts the layZSpa and overall I'm super impressed with mine but im guessing it must scale back somewhere if you have everything on (which makes sense really).
