DEC20

Thanks

Just got mine set up today and water is heating but I'm a bit perplexed by the base. The 1 I had a few years ago had an inflatable base but they have done away with that and it's apparently a foam base now but it seems pretty hard! I'm reserve judgment until I try it but seems a bit strange to me!

Had mine for a couple of years, they're not bad. The heater takes a long time to heat the water (I usually fill mine with a mix of hot water from an internal tap and cold from outside tap to reduce heating time).

You also need to be aware of how to use chemicals to keep the water clean for more than one use.

I had been wondering what had changed with the newer Vegas model. Didn't realise the base was now foam only. Is the heater any better? Does the air blower heat the air as it blows to stop it cooling the tub down too quickly? Older model didn't.

Is there a way to add dec20 and get it for that price for collection ? my local store has them in stock ?

And summer might be over! Ha!

Filling this using hot water from your tap works out a lot cheaper than letting the electric heater in the tub do the job. Plus it will be up to temp quicker.

Only 2ft high?

Great for those that want to try and recreate an early noughties hip hop video, all you need now is a big bbq with a big rack of ribs and steak on it, super soakers, a few bottles of cristal champagne and several very pretty bikini clad mixed race girls.

does this work with reserve and collect?

A hot tub for wannabe rappers. M.C. Lay Z, I is chillin in my hot tub, I don't have no Beyonce but I do has a kebab.

Looks like a facelift version of the previous model from looking at the specs. Same heater, different case.

Just got one from Wolverhampton store. Also got the starter kit. Price for it said 40ish but scanned through at 23

Picture on homebase website say's it is a premium series, which on lay-z website is the 2012 £399 model.

This deal is the Vegas, which on lay-z website is the 2013 £499 model

Sellsmart123 could you please confirm which version you have from Homebase?

its £399 at Tesco Direct today !

Is it this one? here

how long does it take for the water to heat up ? (we have a hot water tank (not continuous hot water) so can't get too much help from the inside taps)....

I'm pretty sure out conservatory floor has wooden beams under it (like decking does). Can it be used ok indoors and would it be ok on our conservatory floor ie. how heavy does it become ?

I have had one for a couple of years, they are great fun, but do not stand the test of time well! My over jacket is unstitched, the inflatable top is punctured, but lots of fun while its up, and the chemical treatments are very easy to use.

I rate them, even if its just to see if a proper hot tub suits you.

But!! A big but too.... Look at your energy bills, mine was up in a garage, and over 1 month added £100 to my spend on energy, however it was on 24/7

If you want a second hand one that needs a bit of love let me know!

Well the maths should pretty easy, did out how many litres of water it holds. 1ltr=1kg. Then add the weight of the tub itself.

taught me not to hit 'refresh' after making a post !

It gives the filled weight on the website as 1,100kgs or 2,426lbs - which by my reckoning is 173 stones. Blinking Norah, that can't be right, can it? I think there is a comma where there should be a full stop, wondering is its 1. 100kgs and 2. 426lbs?

Well the give away is that 848 liters to fill it 80%. So there is 848kg but I'll guess it will support the water weight if you filled it up to the top which is going to be about 1060kg. So the product is about 40kg, which it is.

More to the point will be heating the water. You are going to want to increase summer tap water by about 18C. So it's going to take between 8-12 hours to heat it. You could put it on a timer to turn it on in the middle of the night. Or you could part fill it with hot water as a combi boiler is going to be more efficient and cheaper.

How much are you wanting?

so does it have vegas or premium on the side of it?
wondering wether or not to take the plunge?

Daughter purchased one Sun at homebase they had no cleaner kits in stock but theres plenty on ebay which are cheaper the spa itself is a good bit of kit we got 4 spare filters with this best way is to add hot water to spa to bring it up to temp be cheaper than a 2kw load on for numerous hours

I had one of these and loved it has anyone tried the foam floor and if so is it better and the pump quieter thanks
