I missed the B&Q deal few weeks ago so been looking around for a deal under £250 on the Lay Z Spa Miami. This is bang on £250 so I thought why not break my Layz virginity on this. Worth a punt if you are looking to try a lay z spa for the first time.

Got this in Llanelli B&M so worth checking local stock. There were three or four there.

Need a cheap Gazebo now and floor mats.

Hope this helps someone

Other versions are also on offer. But this was the best deal as the others are similarly priced with other retailers. This one currently £300+ in most places.

Will test this one this summer mate. Sell it over the winter and re-invest in a better version next spring if we like it. Reviews are decent but I appreciate it’s the basic model 😃
Had mine 3 years now and still love going in it

We did a very similar thing for ours. A hollow square of decking boards to stop the floor mats wandering and to secure the gazebo legs plus decent side curtains. Double thickness of mats to stop heat from the spa escaping through the ground.
Noticed quite a few of these by the tills at Trent Vale store other night x
I've just ordered a Helsinki, been ummin and arrrrin for ages, thought oh you only live once, I'd saved hard for it, can't flippin wait to have my summerhouse built for it and get it all set up, and chilllllll in it with a drink or two while watching the footy.... heaven!!

B&Q sell a similar item. A single £10 pack could maybe be enough, if not, 2 packs are more than enough.

It's the lights on the Paris that make all the difference.
Can anyone compare these to B&Q's CleverSpa? Tempted by both and wasn't sure if there was much difference in quality! Thanks!
I paid £225 for the lazy spa Miami last June/July so best wait for price to go down again

How much electricity was it using?

I used a plug in electric monitor same socket and was around the £40 mark. I filled with hot water from kitchen tap via hose which should have saved initial heating cost. Would definitely have one again though

I haven’t set mine up yet but the reviews say it’s probably not worth double the price, £400 in the range currently. Soon as weather warms up a bit I will set it up, seen a good video by the 5 min man on YouTube if you can find it. Set up and a few good tips.

Funnily enough I just looked at The Range's website today. Sadly it's gone up to £499. Also another slight issue, my parents won't let me buy one
Not really sure why anyone would even think about making a journey to buy something like this under the current circumstances.
The government is paying you benefits to stay at home except for essential shopping. The least you could do is follow the advice.

Have a word with yourself, if you feel so strongly about why are you on this website????
I know we are in lockdown but when I put mine up in the next week or two I will write a review for everyone for when lockdown ends.

Just a thought lol

Just for info. I joined a lay z Spa group on Facebook and owners are claiming these use £5 a day in electric. So as a word of caution these could be a costly investment
Running costs depend on a number of factors - firstly look to ensure you are on the cheapest possible tariff for your energy, 2nd insulate the hell out of it, 3rd fill from hot tap in the home, and 4th run the hot tub economically i.e you don't need the heater on 24/7.
Do it right and you're probably looking at about an extra £30 a month in electric depending on frequency of use.

It’s been up a few days and aside from the initial heat it’s using about £1 a day. I will write a full review in a few days. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated
It’s been up for three weeks now. Initial thoughts:-

The first fill and heating up using the heater cost a few £, noticed a £15 increase in electricity the first two days. Maintaining the temp will cost you about £1-£1.50 a day. So second time I used it I filled from a kettle and the hot water tap.

2. No need to buy chem kit, just get chlorine tablets and if it starts to get dirty use a £3 mop on it clear it off and turn the filter on.

3. Wrap the outside of the filter with wool, when cleaning take the wool off and blast both the wood and the filter with the hose pipe. Works well.

4. The novelty of having one is wearing off a bit. I use it but not as regularly as when I purchased. So think long and hard about how often it will be used before purchasing one and the costs involved.

5. We bought a gazebo from The Range which goes over it and it looks good, bought a few cheap solar lights to go on the back end of the frame and it finishes it off nicely.

6. Through the summer these cheap floor tiles will do to go under it, no need to spend big on the official floor protector unless it’s going to be used in winter in my opinion it’s a waste of money.

All in all, happy with the purchase, will keep it over the summer and re-evaluate whether or not to keep it in the autumn dependant on usage and costs to run.
This offer is still currently running as well
Can someone get me one please.
Trying to get one in Pontypridd area where we are.
