Introducing the Lazer Z1 Helmet, a truly spectacularly designed helmet that provides everything you need for racing or training. Lazer's heritage of dynamic and eye catching designs is apparent on the Z1; one of the most eye-catching helmets on the market. In five different colour options there is a helmet to suit every taste.

The lightest in the Lazer range at 225 grams (medium), the Z1 is so light you could forget you are wearing it. This is coupled with the helmet's supreme cooling capabilities that will ensure you perform at your best without overheating. The Z1 utilises deep ventilation channels that draw air through the helmet, whilst keeping the gap between the head and the inner shell to a minimum.

Under those stunning looks there is a foundation of some of the most advanced head protection technology we have ever seen. Lazer have identified that one of the weakest areas on the skull is around the temple and as a result the Z1 offers additional, possibly life-saving, T-Pro coverage. This lowers the helmet in that area. The four piece in-mould construction is designed to spread any impacts across a larger surface area to reduce the threat of serious injury and concussion.

The incredibly comfortable Rollsys® System of adjustment has been update to the Advanced Rollsys® System, offering riders even more micrometrical adjustment and a better retention over the entire head to avoid any movement.

Thanks for posting, but has any independent testing been done on this helmet to verify that it does actually offer better protection than a standard BS one?

Yes
I have yet to see any evidence presented to suggest that at £30 (or £40 or £100....) helmet provides any better protection than a £10 supermarket one. Proper testing of motorcycle helmets (SHARPS) shows little or no correlation between price and protection: there are good cheap ones and poor expensive ones.

If you think a higher price is justified as a 'fashion statement' then go ahead but don't kid yourself it's a safer helmet.

Shame really - I'd happily pay more for a proven safer helmet.
The description you've included is for the Z1, not the blade, which is Lazer's £200 top of the line helmet.
