Does Pixmania give 5 years guarantee?

How do you get an affinity code?

Original Poster

If you are a member of NHS you can get one from 'nhsdiscounts' website. I am not sure of where else

i have noticed you slate alot of these tv threads. Why don't you find a deal and lets see what the majority think of it. I doubt it will be any good since you have posted 5 deals where 4/5 are cold. By the way i have a big 50 inch plasma if you want to come over to see it

or you if work for BT you can get the same deal....
a friend of mine order a smaller older 40", and because they sold out, they gave him and another 10 others the model up - nice !

nevermind

My guess: They are going to start a push for 3D TV.. during summer..

Hence sky is offering SKy HD box as a standard one now (irrespective of whether you subscribe to HD or not!)

Yes it appears its blood on the high streets for 2D tellies now.

Sky are offering the HD box as standard now as the general shift is towards HD and it works out cheaper than manufacturing 2 different boxes. 3D has no bearing on this new supply model from Sky and won't do until such times as 3D becomes mainstream - if ever with current tech.

what u talkin about all sky hd boxes are 3d capable and sky have just started a new 3D channel which you can get if u have a 3d tv and full sky world package. Its only a trial right now

I agree, although I think the push will come this xmas, when the top/middle of the market will be dominated by 3D TV's.

During summer I think they will target the footy fans with each manufacturer having a few expensive sets to offer.

The irony is that unless you have Sky Sports/Movies or BD, there's still a derth of HD content, let alone 3D. But as with HD, IMO the top end of the market (which is where manufacturers make their butter) will define whats on offer and force everyone else who's due for a change to adopt.

can someone ask PEGGYBEDFORD when she is getting hologram tv as anything made this week is old hat and needs replacing even though i suspect she buys TECHNIKA on the quiet.....LOL

AWESOME
wifes a nurse and this has just made my day

btw another £33 off Quidco

so a Sony LED is going to drop from around £2k now to £500 by Xmas is it? Would that be xmas 2015 perhaps? :whistling:

Surely it should say in the title of this 'deal' that you have to use an Affinity code?

were'nt sharp the bee's knees when it came to tv's back in the days?

Definitely no cashback with affinity purchases.

If they can make 46" led tv for so cheap, Why not make 24" led IPS monitors for less than £300,

Sony dont normally compete in this way, they may bring out lower qulity models for cheaper, as with their laptops, however that would be like buying one of these.

Sony high end models always sell for much higher prices than other brands, and they seem to get away with it.

so high end sony LED by xmas 2010 (46") not likly, may be in the £900-£1100 range
