Good deal but a little small I think for a family. Shame, would have grabbed it if it was 3 litres.
I actually spotted this deal after ordering the previous Le Creuset deal for the dishes probably should have posted it!!!
Fab price, have ordered... much to the despair of my other half, no doubt... definitely didn't need a third cast iron casserole dish...
may i know what type B means?

TK Maxx have light pink and light blue heart shaped ramekins by Le Creuset for £6.99

+ two larger casserole dish options (not heart shaped or cast iron)

tkmaxx.com/uk/…set
I don't think this item is cast iron. This item is listed as 'stoneware' not 'cast iron' - it doesn't say cast iron anywhere in the title or description. It says 'Stoneware' in the title - stoneware is cheap - the cheap stuff on TK Maxx is stoneware. I'm not sure I would trust the Q&A. The one on John Lewis is cast iron. Amazon themselves sell the same design pot in 'cast iron' which is THIS one. They can't be the same pot as if you look the dimensions listed on the two Amazon pages are not the same(?).

I used to get a lot of Le Creuset stuff from their outlet store and the saucepans and iron casseroles would often have a very small letter B etched on the inside of the lid. It just means that it's B stock, items that are sold at the outlet because of quality control, such as a very small cosmetic flaw in the finish of the enamelling somwhere.

Not the case. The main item 100% is cast iron if it is the item in the picture.

* Their stoneware version looks very different.
* Stoneware would have a stoneware knob on top - you'll see in the product image that's a 'Le Creuset Phenolic Knob', used with cast iron casseroles.
* This item has been on sale for a while (per 3Camels) at £211 - well above the RRP for three stoneware items.
* Le Creuset don't actually seem to make a 20cm heart casserole in stoneware.

I'm amazed that's what they do?! Jesus Christ - the main defect is the "B" someone's graffitied onto the pan lol!? 'B woz here' - how ludicrous!?

I ordered a set thinking it was brand new. If they've etched that onto it and damaged the product, they should bloody well state it in the title lol. Ridiculous if that's what turns up.

Is this why TK Maxx's Le Creuset stuff is so cheap? Is their stuff B Stock aswell? It doesn't mention B stock on their listings, but then Amazon don't state it in the title or description either??

Honestly, you'd have to look extremely hard to find a flaw on the finish of the 'B' stock pans that I've got. I just think that they have extremely high quality control standards, and given the price that they sell for new then I can see why. If yours are indeed B stock then they still will absolutely be "brand new" and 99% identical to what you'd buy in a shop at full price. Seeing as you are only paying £57 instead of £169 I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Mine arrived this morning. Very happy - all brand spanking new and no indication of it being 'B' stock.

The large casserole is indeed cast iron. Petite and perfect for two.
