Le Creuset 37cm Cast Iron Roaster, Cerise £105 (RRP £175) @ House of fraser - Free c&c

I was after a larger roasting dish for my Christmas turkey and started hunting for the 37cm Le Creuset dish, with roasting rack. It's pretty much £175 everywhere, but I found it at House of Fraser for £105 but listed as 27cm.

I couldn't find a 27cm version anywhere else, so ordered it in the hope it was actually the 37cm pan I wanted - it was!

Yes, it's Le Creuset. Yes, it's expensive. But this is £70 off (excluding any P&P charges.) Deal in my mind.

I'm confused. The webpage description quite clearly states it's the 27cm version. Why would you order it in the first place hoping it just might be the 37cm version? Seems a little odd. You absolutely sure you have the bigger one? I'm sceptical!

How much?
our lasagne dish was a tenner.
I know it will be good quality, but £105?
I have still voted hot because of the discount against its original price, even though it is way to pricey for me.

£10.50 off with Unidays @10% discount.
£10 off a £50 spend with amex if you've loaded the deal to your card.

Could be had for £84.50..

/me shakes head and rolls eyes

Yes. I'm sure.

I'll assume my explanation wasn't clear enough: There is no 27cm version of this dish on the manufacturer's website, or in any other stores. Everything else matches, so I concluded it was a little mistake in HoF's title/description. With free returns, it was worth a punt.

It arrived today and is indeed the 37cm pan. A little bit of a wobble, as the box showed just the pan and not the roasting rack. But it was in there too. Here are some pictures:

I'll be content in the knowledge those that appreciate quality and what it costs will benefit from the deal and hopefully vote hot; and those that are happy with £10 dishes from TKMax will also be content in not buying and voting cold.

People are voting cold because of the price but people who are more familiar with the brand know that this is a very good price. Would I pay it? No. But I know it is a good price and have voted accordingly.

Hot to op. Thanks for the effort and pics. Obviously no taste round here.(_;)

HEAT added as it is a fantastic saving, what this site is all about!
but wayyyyy out of my price range :-(

Home sense

A top quality dish that if looked after will become a family heirloom lasting several generations.

Now if the op would have posted a £1 cheap roaster from poundland this deal would have caught fire X)

HUKD is bad for my wealth. A massive thank you to the OP. We have (slowly) been collecting the cerise set over the last 10 years or so -(we have 4 things now) and needed a good roasting tin. Happy Christmas to me, and happy Christmas to my three boys who will enjoy years of Sunday lunches from it.

Great find, voted hot.

Unfortunately its too big for our oven due to the design of the shelf holder (AEG with removable wire rack shelf holders on each side).

The Le Creuset site gives the external dimensions with handles so worth checking those before you buy:

Exterior Dimensions (with handles): L44.2 x W28.6 x D8.8 cm

Heated. No doubt many folk outraged by the price of a roaster esp so since they saw one in pound stretcher for 8 quid.

Heat added, you got a bargain. I am in need of the black version and best price I can find is £175.00.. Ignore all the spam heads that are moaning about the cost.. When buying a car you can buy many different kinds at different costs (considerably different) and lets be honest you could argue they all do the same thing (transport you from a to b) Great find !

I used it for the first time Christmas day and I'm sure it contributed to a perfect roast Turkey!

It can be...problematic...when you invest in a particular colour though: either you find yourself going to great lengths, possibly doing without, to get a particular colour; or, like me, end up with several.

Amazon have these on as a 'deal of the day' at £139.99. Not as good, obviously, but highlights how good the HoF price is.

Thanks Sponge. I saw your post and I thought I'd take a gamble. Sure enough, the 37cm roaster with the rack has just arrived. Chuffed to bits. I got the last one. Thanks again.
