I find it kinda ironic that Le Creuset is among the most expensive …I find it kinda ironic that Le Creuset is among the most expensive cookware on the market and it seemingly has a direct pipeline to TK Maxx of all places.

It's just some weird secondary line made specifically for TJ Maxx in the States and TK Maxx here... the colours are sometimes completely different to anything available direct from LC, and the quality is really no different than any supermarket ceramic. I'm guessing it's just a side revenue stream and a good way to 'onboard' consumers to their much more expensive cookware.

Don't get me wrong, I love Le Creuset, & have a nice little collection of vintage cast iron bits picked up over the years, but the TKreuset stuff may as well be an entirely different brand. (Plus they never have anything in Volcanic Orange... boooo 😁)

Bought one the other day in darker blue. Pours perfectly fine.

Same here, spout works just fine.
I do have a ‘proper’ Le Creuset ‘grand teapot’, so can compare.
The TKMaxx pot is a little bit bigger, and the lid is a little looser, with no gradient colouring. nd that is the only difference.
I reckon the TKMaxx stuff are manufacturing seconds, and are given the blanket colouring just so they can still sell them, albeit at a hefty discount.

They’re always weird pastel colours too. Not from the main range

I believe you’re paying for the customer service. The handle on my teapot cracked, I superglued it, but kept cracking. I then made a warranty claim on a Le Creuset frying pan (after my brother did a few years ago). They replaced my pan, and my teapot (I bought the TKMaxx one, whilst waiting for the Le Creuset warranty replacement). (edited)
