Totally agree! My wife wants a food processor for her birthday, genuinely, and I'm scared to buy it for her.

Voting cold for the dish as not that big and will be used once a year, no just once, so is in no way a bargain even if it is a good quality product.

Obviously you haven't got a wife. Golden rule number one is never buy household items as presents even if they say they want it as it's guaranteed to end up with................"well I didn't really mean it, do you think I want a food mixer/hoover/dishwasher etc as a present!? then you end up having to buy something twice as expensive as a normal no household item present. Call me a whimp if you like but but my god you are stupid!

i spotted today lying on the floor of my local charity shop a heartshaped castiron leCreuset casseroler - i was attracted by it's dull-red ("cerise") enamel finish, finely stippled darkly toward the base - i watched while some unlucky woman actually knelt by it and lifted the lid, only to put it back and resume her charshop wanderings. i signalled to the shoplady the dish and she
nabbed it for me; she sez How much u want pay? and i squirt out "three quid", and she looks away theatrically, the look means "r "U" real- and she sez to me Because
it's u, £4 (four pounds). wtf so now i got a splendid castiron casserole dish... which is nice \^_^/
