Would make a decent Mother's Day gift for some.

I'm not sure why this is getting cold votes- the casserole dish is worth the money on it's own!

Actually I should have stated that this isn't really suited for the below:

1. Those who think shopping in Tesco is a "Day Out"
2. Those that generally shop in Poundland. Iceland etc...
3. Those who genuinely buy cookware from Wilko's, Tesco, Market stall's etc...

If you voted cold then you will relate to at least one of the above.

didn't vote cold just yet but I've seen it cheaper

Sorry I don't seen anything there for less than £129.99

Plus this includes the oven gloves and cool mat

Original Poster

Anyway - it should be about what is actually available to purchase now

My husband bought me this set for Xmas. No idea how much he paid but it's absolutly fantastic. The pot and the trivet get used a lot but the oven gloves are still in the packaging - white! Why would anybody make a white oven glove?!?!

Voted cold for the derogatory post. Just because some people think paying 5 times more for a name makes it special doesn't mean everyone else does, but actively deriding those who think its not a good deal makes you an utter bell end.

No - those voting cold just because they cannot afford the deal are.

I like le creuset. I have a number of le creuset items. Voted cold. Nice attitude

You are posting a deal for something most people don't need at a price that is prohibitive to all who don't relish the brand name on a site where people come to save money, then you accuse anyone that disagrees with you of being too poor to put a brand name above the cost. Should have just left it posting the deal, aggressive follow ups just deter positive votes.

Yeah your right

I to voted cold ,for the attitude
Have. Love an Use Le Creuset

I shop at Poundland, Tesco etc etc but I use my Le Creuset pots and dishes everyday. This is a money saving site which is the reason I use it. Great brand, well worth the money so its not all about the name. People lets all love each other!

Does anyone have an experience of using Le Creuset with an induction hob?

yep... no problems at all. love my le creuset stuff.

Yes with pans (non stoneware) but if you looking for pans don't buy the black toughened non stick ones. They work with induction but they are £300 and I've found them to be no better than cheaper brandsI've had. I have tonnes of stoneware le creuset and it's well worth the money. Will last a lifetime.

Cast iron works very well on induction hobs.

Cold, not a video game.

at least a honest reason :-)

The problem you have is it's people perception of value. Your list isn't accurate. My parents have one of these and use it everyday so for them it's good value. Meanwhile my mum thinks £130 is a ridiculous amount to spend on a mobile phone (I bought it for her) but thinks it's fine to spend £10K on a fire place. I'm voting hot because it's a good deal but the majority of people on here probably won't appreciate this deal and will see it as expensive. Most premium products on hotukdeals go cold. Of course attacking people who voted cold just shows a lack of class. I share deals I know full well will go cold (anything with Apple!) but I've been happy that one of two people have benefited from it....just chill

Why has this deal been panned?

I suspect it's more to do with the original posters petulant and superior attitude than the actual deal itself.

Not really. It's was -30 before I even made my first comment

Voted cold due to the pompous generalised comments made by the op.

Excellent, will be able to use it to warm up my brandy and can rest my pipe on the trivet.....

Hot from me and thanks OP. Always looking to add to the le creuset collection at a good price (which this is)

It is a good deal to be fair

I don't fall in any of these categories and own le creuset dishes. I voted cold because you are so obnoxious.

The deeper casserole dishes are superb but the shallow ones can be problematic if used wrongly. Plus they seem overkill to me unless you have a set.

One such example is the tendency to put shallow pan directly on high heat as you might with a frying pan. Le Creuset have suffered a bit with quality in the last few years and this has seen them experience enameling problems on some of their pans; especially the shallow ones.

Personally I have seen them for less instore (the 30cm pans) so if you're desperate it's worth checking locally.
Also if you're the sort who wants everyone to know your brand then go for some ugly over gloves of poor quality and costly silicon stand too. Pretty and showy!

I personally feel the money is better spent on cooking lessons...but heck, whatever floats your boat.

It's a shame it got voted cold as I would have bought this if I'd seen it. Expired now sadly.

Those damn poor people!

Ahh can't believe I missed this, been wanting one for ages now, spent hours researching alternatives last night and almost bought a Procook one but worried it will be a waste of £50 that could go towards the real deal that has a lifetime guarantee!
