What a novel idea! Greater precision, smaller carbon footprint and lower electricity usage!
Got one of these. Save yourself few quid and dont buy it. I found it's only useable when it's been dry for a couple of days. And it's more noisier than I first thought.

They are pretty loud and work well with dry leaves but not with wet leaves. Same if there is a lot of leaves the bottom leaves won’t be picked up as they aren’t as crispy as the top
If only I had hair * sigh *

Agree that a rake is usually better, though these do the leaves up I think so you can fit a lot more in your wheelie bin, and dry leaves like oak will mulch quicker

I have one - OK for some jobs not so good for others. I'm happy using it a couple of times a year to get leaves that are difficult to collect on a gravel courtyard, but it won't change your world.

Picks dry leaves quickly, mulching action is good and with a metal blade. Not effective on wet leaves. Powerful as blower but a bit heavy to handle for long time.
