Good deal, although I haven't heard of the company before. Welcome!

£62.69 with free shipping from GearBest …£62.69 with free shipping from GearBest :-http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_617207.html?wid=11

Would rather pay more than buy from gearbest.

Scan with malware bytes plus antivirus, dodgy software, more than likely built into the core so need to root to remove.

Have a Leagoo Lead and its a cracking phone. Solid build. Never had a problem with it. All the fuss about spy software is nonsense. For the price this is surely a bargain.

for a minute i thought it was a LEGO phone...

Doogee is full of viruses.

If you buy this then don't use online banking, PayPal etc unless you know what you're doing to check for baked in malware

In all honesty you are not going to be the next David Bailey with any cheap phone, they all struggle indoors in one way or another, but outdoors most of time they are ok. Apple put a lot of work in to the iPhone camera, you may be better getting a secondhand one from a friends who is upgrading, might give you a good deal! As for which one of these to go for, there is no wrong answer.

If you are going travelling you may want to have a proper camera, one with a decent zoom, or perhaps a waterproof one that are pretty robust, worth a thought.

Don't touch. Bought 4 Leagoo phones last year for myself and various family members. Awesome at first, then they all broke around the 4 month mark.

Wouldn't trust lightinthebox I've been waiting 2 months for 2 memory cards and they keep telling me to wait a week longer, they've been saying that for 3 weeks now. Terrible customer service and seems once they get your money getting it back is light getting sardines from a sea lion

Based on my one & only experience with them.
Stay away from LightInTheBox. They sell inferior products and don't accept negative reviews. Their customer support are very rude when you post negative reviews and delete them immediately without approving them.
Their customs duty projection is a joke and they force you to take customs duty insurance in case you end up paying more for duty.
I repeatedly fought with them and only managed to get half refund for an inferior product that I never use.

I don't know about GearBest. LightinTheBox is terrible.

Yep be careful where you buy from. Have used Gearbest several times without a problem. Warranty is a problem with all these Far Eastern countries even if it states 1 or 2 year warranty. I stay in Malaysia a couple of times a year and getting a refund or a repair under warranty is almost impossible even in the larger department stores. They will show you the item working when you buy it and thats it. I have seen tourists trying to return items and it only leads to argument and lots of cursing and swearing.
The word Warranty is alien to most sellers in the Far East

Well it's obviously not nonsense

How useful the data is depends on what it's capturing.
Leagoo doesn't appear on this list of known device manufacturers on this report page though.

Give me an example of a single person in the UK that has their data compromised (phonewise) because of chinese software. This issue is hyped up and overblown. Thats the point I am making. Bit like the year 2000 computer glitch issue which cost us millions and all for nothing except the hype.

What happened to them? Did they physically break or was it a software problem? I've had one for 3 months without any problems. Easy to root & install custom ROM, I'm running Lineage 14.1 (Android 7.1) on mine without any issues. For the pricepoint you are looking at Doogee, Oukitel, etc, so you try them and take your pick. I can't comment on Oukitel but I've had a Doogee in the past and was disappointed with the build quality, this Leagoo appears to be far more robust. Time will tell but if I get a year out of it then I'll be happy.

Two Leagoo Sharks stopped taking charge, and two others (can't remember the model) stopped reading the SD card.

i have this phone for 3 months now, unlike 99% of all dual sim phones this one has a separate micro sd slot which means you can have 2 x sim cards plus micro sd card,5.7 large screen, plays all GTA games without any lag,can be rooted which enables you to move large apps to sd therefor you can install lots of games even though the phone only has 16gb of internal memory, loud speakers perform well specially when you increase the volume from the service menu, smart looking phone i have the gold one it looks much more expensive specially in it's quality black leather case (i will leave link below) , the only things i don't like about this phone are the average camera,it's on the heavy side & the lack of android updates the phone is still stuck on marshmallow android v 6.0 with no plans for android v 8.0 or even v 7.0 also quality is questionable specially for a chinese brand,i have no idea how long it will last. we also have Xiaomi redmi 4x & build quality is like iphone 6s
