excellent price

shame its not the green one :-(

That's a brill price- shame it's pink

Ordered thank you!

Thank you very much OP - ordered before Amazon changes the price! - the next best price I've found (other than Asda) is Currys at £46.99, then everyone else is around the £60+ range!
Just a quick question - can you only buy the cartridges/apps from leapfrog and are they compatible with any other leapfrog multimedia devices?
tia

Iv been getting v confused about this... Iv been buying explorer cartridges- the green ones- I believe they fit the leappad aswell?! But not the leapster 1 or 2 as they are blue cartridges x

Shame about the colour, but heat anyway.

Great find thanks op . We already have an Leapad so this will help stop the kids arguing over it in the car !

Okay - having googled - 'leapfrog app store' when you click on any game etc you can see which system is compatible - devices are leappad explorer 1 and 2, leapster explorer and leapster GS explorer only

Thanks OP. Have some heat.

the cartridges are the same for the Leappad 1&2, the explorer and the explorer GS.

if you buy games from the website they are saved in your account to download or remove from your console as you wish and can be installed on 2 devices.

basically I have 2 daughters with the explorer, we buy one game online and install it on both.

this is better than the explorer down to the larger memory, included camera and mic, plus motion sensor. plus its a bit more compact.

well worth £20. games are fun and educational for the kids. look out for the BOGOF in toys r us for the online credit. or as at the moment 1/3 off all leapster games in most shops

Thank you. looks great for my 4 year old, ordered.

Could someone kindly explain if this is this similar to a vtech kidizoom twist?
Is one better than the other? What are the main differences?
Sorry i'm not too familiar with these kids gadgets.

£47.99

Sorry, no matter what the price is, the LeapFrog range have terrible blocky graphics. We had a couple for our boys, they were horrible (the device that is!) and froze all the time. We binned them (again, not the kids!!). Pushed the boat out and bought them a DSi each and never loooked back

green one here for £29.99 delivered

Picked up the green one as a Xmas lightning deal for £27, our son loves it. You get three games with it (one pre-installed, plus two to download via your PC). You can also get an additional free game (Alphabet stew) by entering the following code:

Some unscrupulous people have this code on ebay, but it never seems to expire.

No problems with freezing so far one this one, it also runs A LOT faster than the LeapPad 1 which we bought last Xmas. Yeah, the camera's cheap and the game downloads are expensive for the money they charge, but not everyone wants to hand a £400 smartphone to a small child.

You can pick up a DSi for under £100, probably about £40 secondhand and it has a huge library of games. But this device does seem a bit more educational and probably built to take more hits!

Certainly best price for what it is so have some heat

Bought from Asda, great price

Yeah, the hinge on the DS doesn't stand up to much abuse, the explorer seems very sturdy in comparison. The included "sillies" game is a favourite of our son, we paid a few quid for the basic paint program and he's been playing that combination for weeks now. Don't forget the code for the free word game.

I just sent one back because its not compatible with my GS. pic was misleading as stated compatible with all when in reality it was only with the leapster 1&2. Shop guy told me 'only Leapster Explorer games are compatible with your console, they come in square blue boxes'.

Another redeem code that's free and still works:
