Thanks, been debating this for a while now, it;s nice to see some nice reviews for it

Good price but reviews are very negative about how these eat batteries. Does anyone have one? If so can you let me know can you plug these into the mains or is the only viable option to use 4 rechargeable double aa batteries and change/ recharge them after every long use?

Was given one by Toys R Us/LeapFrog to review. It does eat batteries at quite a rate but there is a mains adapter coming out in November(ish). However, since this then means the leappad isn't very portable, I'd say it was best to use rechargeable batteries.

nice deal!

Thanks for that info, what did you think of the tablet? Would you recommend it?

That is what I need to do too, tempted to order one for my 3 year old aswell, she might feel left out X)

That's exactly what I did munnski - immediately thought of the 5 year old for xmas then worried the 3 year old would love it when she saw it and we wouldn't get another at this price. So ordered 2 in pink = no fighting!

thanks for your tip, got kids xmas pressies ordered now ;0)

Damn, think I might have to do the same......

Rude not to at this price

I Pad is better for kids. My 1 year old is a whizz on it.

Your welcome

It is a good price, but no better than what Amazon's been offering (admittedly you need to wait for Amazon though). I've been looking at the other brands in this offer, and again Amazon seem to have been offering the same price or cheaper for a while.

Can you please point out to me when Amazon have had it cheaper? And also I have been looking around for the pink one for a while and have never seen it cheaper than this.

Looking at Amazon it appears the LeapPads have in deed gone back up in price.

i couldn't see any video playback mentioned so i assume its not possible?
batteries didn't seem too bad.
one reviewer mentioned decent ones gave 6 hours and poor ones 2 hours.
how long do you want them playing per day? recharge over night = min of 2 hours as far as i can see going by that.

We use 2100mh rechargables "good to go". We took to the caravan and every evening my son would play at least an hour. It lasted 7 days without the need to charge.
Leapfrog are producing a rechargable unit and mains adapter which should be out before xmas.
