Dunno this website has been out for years, just for all who havent heard of it yet. Been using it for quite a while and have to say its "pretty good". Made by the people for the people. The courses r completely free of charge and ad free. Available in browser on a website but also an app for andriod and iphone, even windows phone,

The current available cources from english:
Spanish
French
German
Italian
Portuguese
Dutch
Irish
Swedish
Danish
Turkish
Norwegian
Esperanto
Ukrainian
Russian

Theyres also English Cources for speakers of other languages but there not much apart from English.

Lots of new languages r coming soon including for English speakers:
Polish
Hungerian
Czech
Welsh
Vietnameese
Hindi
Hebrew
Swahili
Romanian
Klingon

Imo i think the teaching system is great apart from a couple glithces but whatever it happens. Yeah but practise everyday ain for at least the 30xp in my opinion if u wanna learn fst do at least 50xp a day. You can start as many cources as you like so dont worry.
Good luck and hope this was of use to somebody!

I like the site, it is easy to follow and helps in your quest to learn in many ways..... It allows you to follow others who are either learning or native speaker of the language you are on, it also gives you a streak score, which lets you know how many days in a row you have been learning so that you keep on your toes and not fall back on your aim....
thank you!

Duolingo is really good. I wish I had more time for things like this.
gracias
I like it. Thank you
Thanks
Es bueno para el viaje de la manana.
Cources? Glithces? Think you need to take the English course yourself bud.

Good deal though. If you have the determination and commitment to see it through which I found I hadn't.
Duolingo is amazing, I learned enough Italian to "make an effort" in two weeks before a trip to Milan, managed to buy a 3-day pass for the subway, ask for directions to my hotel and order food and drinks at mealtimes. Service personnel definitely appreciate it when you try, rather than just using the traditional English method of communicating with foreign people, AKA "waving your hands and shouting louder".

I give it to daweed, he/she is tried best to explain something with his/her newly learnt language, but I'm confused, I hope daweed will be able to expand on it.

xenophon it's not a glitch it's how much you have picked up so far, there could be many factors which determines this, in your case patients and determination. in daweed's case it might be time. I'm sure if daweed sat on the computer 8hrs a day he/she will get better....

what i mean by glitches is that the translating system is sometimes like it dont accapt an answer that should be like for example i always type tomorrow as tommorow and i always loose out on it, but now im used to typing it that way so ill always loose points out on that, the real glitches are when the correct translation is wayy off, like you werent taught it for like 100 times when u repeat the lessonn, but it shows up on the 101st one and your like wtf, sorry if this is confusing i aint the best at explaining stuff, youll see once you do
I downloaded the app, however, I had to uninstall as I want to learn Arabic & they dont have Arabic for the time being.

I instead went for 'Memrise' ( memrise.com/ ) & I am glad I did because its awesome. Its crowd sourced learning (in a way) and its awesome & addictive. To date, 350 words memorised & counting

Love this app! As an A level German student, I've used it to unlock special features like flirting and idioms! Easy way to impress people when you go to Germany!
I'm gonna try Klingon, trekkies say Klingon women are pretty hot and have good stamina due to the high altitude.

Ignore them,
they would not recognise Anglo saxon English if it sat on their face and left a nasty residue while they licked it up saying hmm this sauce is hot.
