Deal #2 from Jonny!

Not quite a lazyboy, but I got my first chair instore after a online saga which saw homebase prices update overnight whilst shopping! (basket went from £800 to £1700) Luckily I found despite being told otherwise online deals instore the next day.

So I bought my first chair for 134.99 instore early Jan, and just got a second one before posting here.

The chair is great, very easy assembly - one step.
It reclines all the way back so you are lying flat, or alternatively just your feet up. Now of course its faux leather - you cant get HUKDs cows just yet!, and I think for the money is great value.

28 days delivery UK wide, likely to sell out fast. 69% off original price.

* 3 Position mechanism recliner.
* Pocket sprung seat cushion.
* Recliner: (W) 91, (D) 93, (H) 101cm.
* *Leather-faced with man-made front, back and side panels.

homebase sale is still on and the prices are further reductions from bigger prices. I can recommend the leather bed and matress also. There are what look like exact same items selling on ebay for around the £100 mark.

Is it perched up in the air like in the picture ?
The frame underneath it looks unstable.
Or given you have already got one does it sit on the floor like a normal chair ?

I can see what you mean... the picture does look strange.

All i can say is its very stable, there is no funny contraption underneath or funny feat - the chair sits on a large square. What you can see I think is the foot rest prop arms.

What really is good about this chair is when its fully reclined you are properly horizontal...
i think the reason for the discount is this -

Homebase regularly knock these chairs out at around the £130 mark.

Was strolling around Homebase about 18 months ago and stumbled on these.

There's a 2 seater sofa with independent recliners that accompanies the chairs if wanted.

We liked them so much we bought 4 chairs and 2 sofas for different houses.

Got to say that they are the most comfy chairs I've ever bought. The seat is leather, it's only the panelling that is PVC. The padding in the seats hasn't deteriorated in 18 months; seat and back still very nice and puffy (if that's the right word I'm looking for).

The reclining part is top notch; puts you in a very comfy position to watch the TV! Only problem with it is that it's not a lever sort of recliner that you push forward to get up again; you have to pull the legrest back in with the backs of your legs, if that makes sense, and can be a bit troublesome for older people (getting my uncle out of it one day was comical!).

For £105 delivered I'd snap up a pair.

Jstar - any ideas where can I find the two seater version?
just been in focus and they have the same chairs as above but with masage function, didn't look properly as wasn't looking for one but price was £149.99. Don't know if it is any good just saw the offer.
Looks good, but I have my heart set on a Lay-Z-Boy, anywhere sell them cheaper?!
Was in our local Homebase yesterday and it looked like the last one and was £49.99. Didnt look the best but a steal at £50

i think the reason for the discount is this -the "ATLANTA LEATHER … i think the reason for the discount is this -the "ATLANTA LEATHER RECLINING CHAIR!" - lol]http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6272454.htm

Argos own Homebase ;-)
ah that explains why there was a homebase code and an argos code on the boxes.

The place I got my lot from was Homebase in Minworth (near Sutton).

They had the chairs and the sofas all laid out together.

:thumbsup: THanks J!!
